After 2 playthroughs i can say for a fact that we need the Loveless outfits for all characters the amount of lack luster choices really hits replayability

I played the first couple chapters in performance mode as the graphics mode fps was noticably too low but after that it improved alot and I have played up to Chapter 9 in graphics mode, i feel that its fps tradeoff is better than the graphics drop off of performance mode atm, and usually id play performance

the mix between action and ATB not that good, “the open world climbing tower” just copy from Far cry games, “the scanning” so boring like starfield…
base on the sales of ff7 rebirth, to see such a dip from P1 to P2, the only good explanation people didn’t like FF7R P1 so they didn’t pick up rebirth !!!

I hope that the flight aspect of the 3rd game doesn’t trivialize the game. Its been kind of fun exploring the lands. In other games, when flight is introduced, it kills the ground game.

I’m 60 hrs in so far and I haven’t noticed any graphics quality issues at all.

Still going through the game haven’t finished it yet but so far I love every single bit of the game. I’m mostly curious to know if the 3rd part is going to be a whole other game entirely or an expansion dlc or something to the rebirth game itself if not a dlc then I would really appreciate if my relationship status points that I developed for my characters are transferrable 😅 cuz I really like where I have them at right now.

FF7 Rebirth has become the highlight of my days im on chapter 10 and im sad that ill finish it soon.

Honestly, rebirth had so much content that it seems like they ripped us off with the first part.

I completed seven remake in just under 17 hours where is rebirth on my first play through took like 50 hours.

With remake, there’s literally nothing to do besides the story basically and grinding for levels this game felt like a proper RPG game and I hope the third title is more in line to the second title versus the first title

Man…you can feel the developer’s love for this world at every step.

There are many causes for it to be not so successful: it’s the second part, qithout playing the first it’s almost a “no”; many are complaining about fhe changes and of course old gamers attached to the originals qill say “no”; plus faith in triple A gaming is falling rapidly due to cultural war; they cost 10€ more than before (at least in Italy); there were many more ps4 around in 2020.
So it’s unfair to compare these situations.
The quality of this game is unbearable, astonishing. So full of minigames and little details with a fantastic combat system. The story so far is beautifully crafted. So I don’t really get people complains…what do you want more? If this content would have seen the light in 2015 we would have scream at the moon for 1 month every night. But in 2024 people have to complain because “the climbing mechanics are old and aweful”. Which frackly they are, but come on! This game is gigantic and you talk about the climbing mechanics??

Honestly, I didn’t mind the drop from performance mode, give me 60fps, not 30fps but better graphics, 30fps makes the game feel sluggish and amplifies the motion blur, which makes me and many other people sick or annoyed. (even in performance mode the motion blur was sometimes too strong, kinda wish they would give us the option to outright turn this off)

but I also call BS on “developing it only on the PS5 allowed us to make it seamless” sorry but what? I would get having to develop for both the series S and X, but PC? PC you can set most specs you want and just move on, hell, most issues on the PC will likely be from graphical settings, which should be an easy fix concidering they’re developing in UE right?
it’s just a BS reason to justify sucking Sony’s dick and shafting everyone who doesn’t want or couldn’t get a PS5.

on a side note, the sit ups minigame is so fucking annoying, it was fun at first, but then you get the X patern with SHOULDER buttons, not face buttons or the D-pad, SHOULDER buttons, had to turn off haptic feedback because jesus is that annoying for that minigame. (still on the final level because gotta love having to perfectly memorize where you are in a patern for 1:30 because your opponent messes up twice, once in 1-4 and then again at 45-49, while the game constantly tries to break your rhythm by constantly needing to either mash or slowly press L2 or R2)

I remembered that disc 3 has a goddamn submarine and the Bronco in Rebirth gives me hope that its just as open as they’re promising the Highwind is being promised to be… buuuut

Rather than the Highwind itself, I’m curious about the world map. The sea map shows a very literal representation of the spatial relationship of the explorable areas, which are super close and off scale to what the world map shows or what they are in the original. And even then, the west continent is also off scale in general. Like the entirety of the grasslands is just a little bit of land mass in the north East of the East continent, you can match up the wasteland before Kalm and the cliffside the lighthouse is on, its rather small compared to the whole continent, and its well East of Midgar. Junon is all the way on the South West coast of the East continent, well South of Midgar. But the literal relation in game puts them right next to eachother, and the mock model of Midgar is SUPER close. This is a trick commonly used in games to make the distance feel longer, Dark Souls is infamous for showing you locations that look farther away than they literally take to get to in the skyboxes of adjacent areas. But Dark Souls doesn’t have an Airship… All I’m really getting at is that
A) Theres SOOOO much more map we haven’t seen, most of the North continent, the entire East side of the East continent, the Islands off the West coast of the West continent, and so many islands and underground wrecks and caverns.
B) The existing map of the Meridian Sea HAS to be a place holder, cause otherwise this entire planet is TINY.
I’m both super excited to see if they keep their promises, with each game being bigger than the last in the same way that most FF games open up after pivotal events (Its weirdly fitting), but I’m also doubtful that the groundwork they said they have is near as much as what most people are thinking… it sounds like it might be another long wait for this one.

I really hope that if those FF9 rumors are true, that maybe they find a way to keep the scope of traversal the same as original, possibly with a classic overworld map. Perhaps that games more storybook artstyle lends itself better for using the classic map where it zooms out and uses little demi models.

The game is amazing but my only complaint is the facial lighting is plain bad. When they fix the lighting ill probably play a 2nd playthru and see how much they improved it. Because i dont want to stop playing this series. Im actually playing the remake intergrade on harder difficulty to give myself a challenge while i wait for them to polish the performance and issues with Rebirth. They should hire devs to make a port for PC and Xbox. Their sales numbers would go way up

I just wish that in the Graphics mode that there was camera motion blur. Characters and other objects have motion blur, but when you turn the camera, there is no blur at all, making it look choppy when you turn the camera.

Rebirth is amazing. But it’s graphics settings really puts it in a bad place. There’s no great option – there’s also weird ghosting with objects during camera movements which is SUPER distracting

The open world design isn’t the best in Rebirth IMO, it felt like a generic open world game with a FF7 skin. Theres too many ‘events’ on the map, it breaks the gameplay loop and immersion.

Makes me wonder why ff16 had its world split up when a ps5 is capable of a seamless world.

My only complaint about Rebirth is it not being available on PC on launch.

I just got to Cid and he is not how i had pictured. Too young, too clean. Game is massive though and looks so sharp. A survival mode in the arena is what would really keep me busy. I just wanna fight for an hour. 1v1.

I’m sorry, as much as I enjoy Remake and Rebirth, the developers are trying to tell us they will be able to finish the game in the next installment? I call bs right here and now, as the first game was ONE CITY of FF7 OG second game finished the FIRST DISC! So they are saying they are going to put two discs of content in the third game? Hells they couldn’t even do a full disc for one game as of yet. I find it unlikely that they will be able to do so even with what I am sure will be a long delay until the next PS platform is released. Could be wrong hope I’m wrong. I have thoroughly enjoyed what they have given us so far, my only complaint is having to buy a whole new system just to play a very small portion of the games name sake.

My LG Oled runs the graphics mode at 60 fps I’ve checked in during combat and just running around must be something with the tv that allows it. I’ve looked everywhere on the internet for answers but performance and qaulity both clock 60 on the Oled no differences during fighting. If anyone is interested the Lg gives you the framerate while your playing its wild. Gamr runs great

Story and gameplay is Masterpiece just like the OG was…only but is DLSS doing some janky shit with ghosting with birds and effects but otherwise enjoyable first 150h of the game…so yeah its pretty much just all performance problems with the game…it really pushes ps5 to the limits 😀

An other thing is that not all PS5 consoles has Ultra Blu-ray player. That lowers the numbers of retail copies as well. Last year 1 in 10 games was retailed Vs downloaded compared to 2020 when 1 in 6 games was retailed compared to downloaded. So if you take all that in conclusion the sales for Rebirth is not that bad as you have to assume that a bigger percentage of all games sold was digital compared to Remake. If you try to roughly calculate the sales inc. download you get around 4 million for Remake and 2.6 million for Rebirth.

The update wants to include changing the location of temple of the ancients back to being in the southern part of the map and then adding explorable area and then adding in the forgotten capital back to its right location along with adding explorable area and stop being lazy and given us trash and get rid of all the timeline shi** that no one god dam ask for along with and reworking the story to remove cid he shouldn’t even be in the game till we meet him in rocket town they messed this up they need to rework the whole game no point buy part 3 they have ruined it

Finished the game last week. Just finished the last of the side quests tonight. Now just working on clean up. Loving every second of it.

Performance modę is unplayable on a 65″ screen, its to blurry, and the only way to get some more clarity from it, is to turn up your TV settings. Note, final fantasy 16 performance mode was also not super sharp, but most of the time very satisfying , while the battles did dip to 720, it was not noticeable. But in ff7 rB ,its to much. I am playing in quality mode ona a VRR TV, it’s perfect. Shame that it does not have a 40fps mode

I would like the piano game, to be revamped… Maybe even allow the old keys from original. Because not only myself but many others definitely are struggling with the piano cant get past C Rank…. performance mode is fine to me because i play with the trophy list displayed on the side so it won’t take the whole 4k screen. the smaller window helps and that’s how i play any game in performance mode. if go into the main story quests, i quit for a while then play on quality full screen.

I think the game is massively overrated. I mean it’s not bad and good to keep me busy for some time,but not more. It’s too goofy and cringe at many points (yuffie and cloud for instance),the story is weird, like on some Japanese party drugs level weird,and the amount of annoying minigames is just too high. Also the same side missions repeating ever again,or the need to switch materia every few minutes between characters when the group splits again. I think there are a lot better ff games,and I just play it now so the time till dragon’s dogma runs faster

What I’m most looking forward to in part 3:
1. Cloud finally realizing and accepting the truth about himself
2. Saving Tifa from the gas chamber (if they do that)
3. The slap fight between Tifa and Scarlet
4. Emerald Weapon
5. Kicking Hojo’s ass

10-20 hours qorth of queens blood would be dope. Honestly an having a shit ton of fun playing it, i havent finished the game yet, but i wish that currently there was an unlimited number of new duelists with new strategies and new rewards and stuff

Performance mode has been nothing but great for me. Sure, those weird texture issues pop up here and there, but it’s rare enough that I can’t remember a specific instance. I think a game of this scale would have had a hard time looking any better than it does without taking up 5 disks.

as a gamer for 30 years. i have no complain with graphics at all.

Played in quality mode and there are def some Door texture moments, but the weirdest thing is that NPCs have an animation range so if you are kinda far from any NPCs they just freeze in place and move as you get closer which just looks really weird when moving around. What they really need is a dedicated port studio to work on these games alongside the main studios during development so that they can get these games launched on PC at the very least on Day One.

I mean the sales aren’t a surprise. I’ve been hearing people talk about the game releasing to PCs this summer. I didn’t care to look into it since I own a PS5 copy, but playing on PC is plain simply superior. If I didn’t love the titel I would rather wait a couple months too in order to get access to mods, better performance, better graphics, better everything.

If I wanted to play Sephiroth the entire game, I will be able to do that for free on the PC. No need of DLCs or anything. If I want to play the game in 10 years again, the PC modding scene again, is simply going to enhance that experience while the game stays how it is on the console. These consoles are just stupid and I wish all games would stop to be exclusive at all…

Look at Bloodborne, the best game to ever exist in the souls universe, that game is simply never coming to PC because of stupid Sony. What a dumb way to lock content down. Yes, fking Sony, I would never buy a console ever again if all these games would release to PC on day1.

I’m loving the game so far (about 50 hours in) but the mini games are way over done. If they were optional I wouldn’t mind, but they crammed way too many in and once you hit Gongaga even the exploration becomes a chore 🙁 I wish they kept the vibe of the first few zones for the open world and just kept it more straight forward with less unpassable terrain and less dead ends.

Yeah proformance mode I cant play that at all. The graphic fidelity is too good with graphics mode to not play with it. It was the most downloaded game in February.

I want to see the rest of the compilation characters in Part 3 including all of those from Before Crisis who are still living. All player Turks, Verdot, and Elfe as well as the rest of the Tsviets from DoC and from the DoC multiplayer game the other 3 main Tsviets, Argento, Pummel, and Usher. Also let’s not forget Shalua. Also an Evan reveal would be nice.
Would be nice to see a Vincent and Cid DLC before part 3 releases and would be nice to see a Before Crisis Remake.

Early to mid game was fun but late and post game pushed me away since you couldn’t really speed through hard content like you could in remake. For example top secrets in ff7 remake you could down bosses in a min each but in rebirth an entire hard mode challenge will take an hour to complete. Its just too long and drawn out similar to a certain boss sequence in rebirth that had me just begging the dam boss would stay down instead of countless boss phases (like 2 or maybe 3 okay but there were so many omg i got bored)

I’m on chapter 7 and I’m about 36 hours in. It’s a good game but I enjoyed 16 a lot more! In my opinion, I feel it lacks fighting. I feel like I do more mini games and boring side quests than anything else. Only because if you don’t do them, you could miss out on a good item. It is a good game it’s just something I can only turn on now for two hours and then put back down because there’s just not enough combat to keep me going.

I wish they did something to what the witcher did with “Gwent” and make Queens Blood a separate game where you can play against people online.

The two things they _need_ to nail in part 3 are the world and the ending. For the world, that means the handling of the Highwind and the sub, as well as how retreading ground covered in Rebirth will be done. The ending needs to have an exciting final boss sequence and we also need the story to be wrapped up neatly — not just the original story but also the new elements.

My personal third thing is the Weapons. We have got to have really interesting and challenging fights against these epic planet-protecting kaiju. And I _really_ hope they’re not all fish-whales.

I can see a lot of the world being done, they pretty much just nee to fill in the places that aren’t done yet. I could see Rocket Town finally coming into play, and who knows, maybe the places we currently see the Highwind sitting at Junon could be one of the places can dock.

I’m a bit annoyed about being locked out of certain areas, but over all I’m really enjoying the game. One thing it does well is scale, like everything it to scale and is about the right size, it feels huge.

Also in 3rd game, I am looking forward to giant Kaiju battles, hIghwind and Knights of the round. Im hoping the make the knights into a story progression thing. Let it push narrative forward.

I’m sorry I say this is many FF videos about Rebirth and I can’t help it cause I seen the scene with Roche in it… they missed making him Kunsel >.<" It would have made sense for Kunsel to have worked his ass off after Zack vanished and to become a SOLDIER by the time FF7 starts. It would have been a connection between Crisis Core other than Zack ALSO on Crisis Core if Zack does properly come into our world and the party react to him I wonder if they'll have Zack and Yuffie remember each other?

What we need is a completely different ending, not a graphics patch! Im not even suggesting it be the OG plot – the ending was so confusing and disappointing that it felt like a total let down. I’ve listened to multiple takes on what the ending could mean and none of it made any sense. Including the Whispers and the multiverse just ruined it for me.

I’ve been playing in performance mode, only switching to graphics mode for comparison. While yes, performance mode has some blurry facial issues and has some low res assets in the open world, i’m sitting 4 meters away from the TV, i hardly notice it unless im looking for it. The graphics mode does absolutely look gorgous, but as i mainly play on PC, i just can’t handle 30 fps anymore in combat situations. Had i noticed the graphical issues like some seem to by the way they are commenting, i’d just switch to graphics mode when in cities, because there i don’t think the 30 fps would bother me.
77 hours in at chapter 11 and absolutely loving it still. I have stopped doing every single sidequest though, not because they aren’t good, but i’m dying to see how this ends now.
I’ll keep doing the Green quests, Queens Blood and Protorelics though because that side story has me hooked and the Green quests have been good to excellent.

i think part 3 will be easy 200-250GB because it has all from Rebirth + Midgar + all missing Zones.

Eager for Cid and Vincent Gameplay. Curious if some members may NOT be available for the entirety of the third installment (or just large sections like the regular game). I mean with Cid and Vincent and the rest it will be even more characters then we had in Rebirth. That’s a lot of synergy moves, weapons, and equipment to manage.

Doent matter all games coming out sould be only ps5. The ps5 has been out for nearly 4 years know.. ps3 didnt get this when ps4 come out so why are developers doing this for no excuses for a ps5 only game to come out like this…

I played the entire game on performance mode & had a wonderful time with no issue at all. It says a lot about the game when the only bad thing everyone wants to point out is how lighting looks on the faces. Rebirth is 10/10 ❤️

The graphics on performance mode is piss poor, but I still prefer that over a choppy 30fps. I’m glad the devs are working out a patch. Hope they release it asap.

The thing i’m most excited for in part 3 ? I think how they ‘ll handle the Tifa and Barret prisoners of Heidegger and Scarlet, and on top of that, Tifa slapping the crap out of Scarlet, and maybe using more than just slaps.

For me, performance mode has been fantastic. Maybe a few cutscenes looked kinda off but combat and exploration have been smooth as butter. I think it depends on your TV from what most people have been saying.

I’ve beaten the game and I have to say I give it a solid 8/10. Great game. Awesome story moments with missions and companions. Love the mini games and Open world areas are extremely beautiful. The only things I didn’t like is 1. The Multiverse theory in the game is extremely confusing. The whole thing with Zack is a bit unnecessary. 2. I wasn’t crazy on how they handled the death scene with Aerith. 3. The final boss fight was just too much. The nonstop phases was getting a bit irritating & tedious.

One thing I wish could return from FFXV, the food. Original ff7 had the tent item you cna use at field to refill hp/mp but in Remake and Rebirth we only have the bench. And you can’t get anything from bars and restaurant anymore. I guess having 20gb of high definition virtual food won’t be happening anymore. I wish they could camp and for camping we got basic Shinra rations but in restaurants we get proper cooked food that adds stat bonuses(they could be kinda broken in XV though).

It’s a beautiful game. They story is good. The “open world” aspect is terrible and stale after the first zone. The unnecessary padding with the nonsense terrain traversal in the later areas is obnoxious. I still like the game but people acting like there aren’t major flaws need to be more objective.

Obviously rebirth is not that impressive in sales, since many people didnt like the gameplay remake had and since rebirth has the same just a bit more improved its not shocking that many people didnt buy it. I myself have a lot of problems with the new gameplay, there are a lot of flaws in it.

Looking forward to the fight with Hojo and seeing Vincent and Red XIII get their revenge!

All the graphics look amazing to me and the performance has been great. I haven’t experienced any lags in the 80+ hours of plat so far.

The biggest issue ive had is constant crashes. Initially i thought my ps5 was overheating but it dosent seem exceptionally warm. The fix is unplug it for 2-3 min and plug it back in. It goes through the “you turned me off wrong” process then starts right back up. Could be good for a couple minutes or another hour or two. Sometimes it happens during combat but it’s also happened just standing afk.

Wee need a jump button in this game 🦦💔

I hated ff7, i thought cloud was a poorly designed emo twink that i really had no emotional attachment to. I felt this way for over 20 years.

I have to say, after playing ff7 rebirth, i still hate cloud, but the game itself is absolutely incredible. The indepth character development, the dialogs, everything entirely is by far an incredible experience. (Other than the sound issues and lightning issues)

I am one huge FFVII fan. Played the original in 1997 A LOT and plenty in the following years and decades. Played the prequels and spinoffs. But imho they ruined the game with Rebirth. I cannot make myself play this game. A million chocobo stops to repair, radio towers to climb, lifestreams to scan and minigames for mentally challenged people to finish. At times I even forget what the story is about. I cannot stress enough how much I despise the Ubisoft formula. But in FF7 Rebirth they recycled it and achieved a new low. It is like an IQ test from idiocracy. Only difference, you have to press the same freakin’ button every single time you repair a stop or scan a lifestream. No challenge. Even QB is absolutely braindead once you can trivialize it with some rudimentary Tic Tac Toe logic. 90% of the game kills the immersion of the 10% which is the main story. And even the mainstory has holes, inconsistencies and errors. The pacing is an absolute drag and it makes absolutely no sense in the context of FFVII Remake. No urgency at all. Next to no emotion. Dark themes are completely ignored and we get a dating and vacation simlator. I do not even know anymore why I ever loved this game so much. =(

didnt people complain about in ff7 remake, kh3 and ff15 and 16 that performance mode wasnt real performance mode because it couldnt stay at 60? people even bashed 16, as it did a 30 roaming 60 in battle, and they said it was too jarring.

now, i even saw people asking for a 40fps mode instead of performance mode, which blows my mind. since i know due to those examples, that if they did that, those same people would cry the same thing about wanting a 60 fps game no matter the hit to visual quality…

Hard to believe that Rebirth sales are so low, imo its miles above remake especially the combat and map navigation.

I think those first week sales are for physical copies only so if you include digital sales it’ll probably be more.

im loving the game but the forced minigames for the side missions are a pain, they really need to be a do if you feel like it instead of “want to 100% the game, you have to do these aswell” also playing in quality mode seems to run beautifully even though its capped at 30fps, am enjoying the card game in it aswell as frustrating as it is sometimes

First playthrough in performance mode for the combat. Second playing though I’m taking my sweets ass time exploring the world on graphics mode.

The update I really want is for them to let us run around as any character in the overworld. Even in NG+ why can’t we do this? They already made the animations.

Rebirth was amazing but square Enix really needs to get away from the stagger system. Enemies feel way too spongie. Remake/rebirth did it better than ff16 but I’d rather just have straight forward damage and have battles be a little shorter.

I started in performance mode but the difference was so drastic tht I made myself get used to the 30fps n I will say I do not regret it, I love this game. I can’t wait for the performance update but I’m 97 hrs in using graphics mode n the game is phenomenal. The mini games, could’ve been tone down a bit but they were fun to play nonetheless.

I have to play on performance mode, even if the quality is down it feels like the graphics mode is way too stuttery while moving the camera around.

I don’t give nearly as much of a shit in graphic fidelity. Give me 60fps

I think my only two gripes is 1. Some of the attacks that 1-shot or leave you with 1 health are spammed too much imo. (I.e. Sepheroth lmao) and 2. Mini games are fun but there are ALOT and some are near impossible without thinking outside the box and doing things ways that feel unintentional (I.e. Chocobo flying minigame)

Id like the game to actually answer some of its logering questions also i want the one true hero of ff7 rebirth to be the mvp of the next game and by one true hero i mean Zack. He needs his glory

I just put 158 hours into it, just finished the platinum for it and i got to say i adore it one of the best final fantasy for me personally and id recommended it to everyone.

The story, characters, weapons/materia, battles are all fantastic. The mini games make me want to unalive myself though.

I love it, but it could pull back on a few of the mini games. I’m beating them all, but as I’m playing them, I keep thinking a less patient person would not be okay with this on a couple.

What am I looking forward most to in part 3? To find out what the f*** is going on.

I hope there are at the very least two endings. One where the Aerith that Cloud CLEARLY saved but was hidden in the lifestream is set free and is alive again, and one that follows the original ending to some extent.

Its pretty good i bought a PS5 for it. I rented a PS5 for ff16 and it felt off i think its because i play on PC. 30 FPS is really low imo. I played ff7 remake on PC and forgot i did that so when i started playing this the 30 fps was absolutely not playable for me. The 60 fps was manageable but it looks much worse. Not sure i will beat it on PS5 i think i’ll wait for PC release. And no im not a PC master race this is just my preference and if you can enjoy it on console thats awesome and glad for everyone who is loving the game!

This will be worth playing on the PS5 Pro when it comes out. I’Ve been playing the remake on PS5 and the difference from when it first came out is night and day. Also think that not being able to carry over your save from remake is a huge missed opportunity.

Perf.mode needs more than a patch.

FF7 Rebirth is SOOOOOOO much better than I expected it to be. And I had high expectations. 89 hours in, and I have no real complaints. It’s weird to me what people are choosing to nitpick.
