In the opening of FFVII: Rebirth, Zack and Cloud are seen arriving in Midgar after Sector 7 collapsed, a tornado ravaged the city and the avalanche crew is injured/dead. So I have a simple question, wouldn’t Zack and Cloud arrive before the beginning of the events that unfold FFVII? How is that there is a time jump of events? I get that we’re in a different timeline, but it still doesn’t make sense. Could someone please explain this to me?

The Nebelheim flashbacks seems pretty faithful, but they utterly failed with conveying Sephiroth’s strength through gameplay. His health pool and damage output seems too small.

Few minutes in and I’m confused. Am I remembering it wrong? I played ff7 and crisis core way back and iirc Zack gave that buster sword to Cloud when he flatlined, so why does he have it when they visit Cloud’s home town? Because I’m pretty sure Zack was still alive at that time. Cloud met Aerith right after the gig with Tifa’s crew. So how is Aerith with the crew when Zack is still alive?
