The music and exciting battles remind me of playing the old FFs like 8 & 9, which felt fast paced at the time as I was around 10 years old and new to it.

Shitty demo. The camera is bad in the motion. Blur is the worst I’ve ever seen in a game that makes the background look like complete shit. I hope there’s an option to turn that off in the final version. And even on the action oriented setting it’s way too easy. And the writing is some of the worst rating I’ve ever heard in Final Fantasy. Even decent voice acting. Can’t save how bad the writing is. I’ll definitely wait for a sale on this one even though I bought a PS five to play it. Definitely doesn’t feel like Final Fantasy anymore. Game is going to sell like crazy though. So this will probably be the blueprint for a long time to come.

Am i the only 1 who thinks that clive was the 1 who turned into Ifrit? Maybe the phoenix has to be reborn for its ultimate form or to give Joshua the tme to master his phoenix.

It’s already the best cinematic story i’ve ever seen on a gaming console. They really went and did it. A mature, adult, epic fantasy. I love it. My only gripe is that is it too game of thrones? They are basically the starks, father decapitated, there is a bastard son being sent to the front line, there is another army coming from the north, a mum that hates her son. It’s almost the exact same story. Even the map looks like the game of thrones intro graphic. The wife is almost a lannister/stark hybrid.

The script and dialogue and the voice acting is horrendous. It’s so B-rated acting that most every scene feels misplaced and undeserved. Incoherent delivery of verbal exchanges between most everyone takes me away from the immersion. Battle fights looks good but don’t have any weighty feel to attacks and that make it feel dated and cheap. Action games these days have physics and dynamic impact and once you experience that, ff16 lack of it feels like it’s another cheap EA lotr game from 15 years ago. Graphically it’s nice but the frame rate stutters and even with vrr turned on,

Worst part is they try to make it mature with all the swearing but it’s delivered so unnaturally and wrongly in tone in response to the scene that it again make me unable to take the game seriously. For me it’s a spectacular fail. For a FF title, this is a 3/10 demo. If it were any other developer with no name, it’s a 5/10

That scene right before being able to move in the city, where the puppy jumped out of the embrace of that little girl is such bullshit. Dogs are not built to casually jump out of your arms to chase a butterfly. That puppy would have been injured, maybe even badly if it did that IRL. 1/10 Also 0.5 hour of exposition and trying to evoke some emotion about a random guy dying without first forming any sort of emotional bond with that character? I dont know any of these guys, dont know about anything about anyone, yet I am expected to care? 😀

This game story seems to be so good, this Demo as giving shivers down the spine on some ocasions… GOTY idk, but it sure seems like a candidate to the title.

As amazing as this demo was in gameplay, story, etc. The Soundtrack/Score is the most impressive part for me so far. BLAST IT on some good speakers and this shit is incredible. Feels like a next gen Final Fantasy (FF3 for SNES was my favorite and I love turn based old school RPGs ) This game is going to deliver in a sea of hype, and that is an incredible achievement in of itself. Cannot wait to play the full version. This is why I got a PS5.

The demo’s on another level. I couldn’t put it down. 10/10 story, graphics & gameplay. The story’s emotional and had my draw dropping with the surprising twists. If it continues to be this good, this could very well become my favorite game of all time, better than Witcher & GOW

It’s always amazing to see how Asmon is capable of failing to understand the most basic of controls in a game.

When I played the Eikon fight I thought Clive hinself turned into the other Eikom and killed Joshua. Is that maybe an upcoming plot point?

I fuck with final fantasy going a much more darker route in story telling. Dont get me wrong, they normally get into some dark themes, but this game seems like its going to be much darker than any other final fantasy game. I love the hopeful feeling in most final fantasy games, but seeing them trying a darker story is also very cool to see

I am one of those people who couldn’t finish a FF after 10 because the games afterwards just didn’t feel like Final Fantasy to me, I stopped after 13 and tried the 7 remake demo and just don’t get that feeling like I do from 10 and before. Also am I the only one who doesn’t want Game of Thrones in my Final Fantasy?

Its not often I see Asmon sincerly enjoying himself. It was great to see him have fun and be surprised by the tone of the demo. I hope the game delivers consistently and builds on top. It has the GotY potential. That was brutal and it was epic.
