I’m starting to think that this was a prequel to FF15 long before the gods and the lucid bloodline exist.

Probably this was the war where the Crystals abandoned it’s chosen people or got destroyed by overusing it’s magic where to the point it fades completely, leaving the only crystal left where the kingdom of Luci’s stands.

Eikon battles are looking very scripted from what we’re shown. Hope that isn’t the case.

Again Ifrit being the Villian. Again Espers are giant creatures that cant be summoned and are mainly storyrelated. We had that in FF15, please give us summonable espers, that can be leveled,Trained and improved like ff8 or ff10. Or at least manually summoned when i want to and not randomly.

Graphics (Environments) are very very beautiful. However, the music is not sharp , compared to Nobuo Uematsu even Yoko Shimomura. Music sounds like old-fashioned movie without excitement.

So far not sure how I feel about the lack of a party and only having 1 character. I mean the game looks super impressive for sure but Final Fantasy to me has always had a team of 3 or more. All I see is one character that levels over time like any hack and slash game like Witcher or Devil May Cry. I just hope I am wrong and there is a party like in maybe 15 and 12 where you can hack and slash WHILE swapping members and picking spells and stuff waiting for the ATB. If not this will to me feel more like DMC or Witcher but with a FF layover.

I just see this being the RE6 of the Final Fantasy collection. It is losing its roots. Just like how RE6 felt more like a action shooter with occasional zombie instead off a horror survival series like it started. This looks great but feels more like a DMC then a FF game which normal always had parties and such.

I look forward to seeing more to make my actual decisions. I will give it the benefit of doubt because it looks great.

This game’s marketing is so bad. I’m really not interested in single disconnected lines of narration spouting off bland lore and generic “epic” quotes that could have come from any game, while clips from entirely different cutscenes play. Show me an uninterrupted 20 minute chunk of the game, with some conversations, exploration, combat, a cutscene etc. so that I can actually get a feel for what the game is like to play, the personalities of the characters and the atmosphere.

I just wish they’d do an oldschool turn based rpg open world with these same beautiful graphics. I know a lot of people don’t care for turned base but I always thought it was like chess and the combat system deserves more appreciation.

The gameplay kinda looks like Type-0 but fresher! I can’t wait for this!

looks like game may have level scaling if so it’s a skip for me but if not I plan to buy this game looks like they are going back to full fantasy not that futture/fantasy stuff they have been doing for so long I like this a big win for me just hope level scaling is not a thing.

Reminds me of Type-0 but somehow very different. I never played Devil May Cry but the gameplay looks like it. Hope we can get new original summon for FFXVI. Definitely gonna buy the collector’s edition + PS5 for this marvelous game!🤑

Otherwise, aside from the combat…I’m not hyped for this game. It feels a lot like FFXV, whoch had its issues but I mostly enjoyed. But I’m not clamoring for more of it. I’ll probably still buy this as I’m a sap for Square Enix and have been playing their games exclusively for 5+ years (KH3 carried me until I picked up FFXV, which then carried me until FF7R). But I’m buying it ojt of FOMO, not out of passion 😅 Not that anyone cares.

So sad FF has turned into a high budget no substance western RPG. Glad Dragon Quest is keeping the JRPG spirit alive!

Why are they making colours so dull? It’s not very “fantasy” like is it? I’d make it less real, more fantasy like. Propably will skip this game until it’s cheap. Doesn’t look worth the full price.

I’m thinking that Dominants can bestow their power onto others or other dominants, or have it stolen. That’s why the trailer shows young Clive using Garuda and Titan based attacks, since their Dominants appeared to be allied with his kingdom.

I hope they can work Leviathan into the roster. A kaiju battle against the sea monster would be epic, especially with Ifrit at such a disadvantage

of all the trailers of the Final Fantasy I’ve watched, this and the Shadowbringers trailer had got to be the most epic ones among all of them.

I thought that punch at the end there is aim at pheonix , but it appear to be another ifrit instead eventhough our MC should be the one who transform into ifrit. juding from the landscape that is like a hellfire , I suppose this take place in the MC mindscape where he has to beat that ifrit to gain the ifrit powah !!! attack on titan vibe is really strong with 16 with how a human can transform into summon and each of them them seem to hold a high position in their respective army kingdom as well.
