That’s the only downside the cut scenes are very long but at the end of the day would people want to have a cut scene or just traditional text? It’s like reading a book.

My main problem with it is that it’s a very isolated experience playing as Clive. even when he has companions they are not very talkative or have very little screentime ig. Jill is by far the worst at this as she has so little to say and do besides her respective arc. Characters like Mid, Gav, and Byron have loads more personality and would have been fun to travel alongside during the events of the game. I want to hear their witty remarks and jokes to Clive. The thing about 16 is that it has cool concepts of characters but always gets rid of them or never fully realizes them in game. Torgal can’t speak, Jill is bland as cardboard, Gav is always disappearing, Byron is busy, Joshua is being edgy alone with his retainer, and everyone else is just chilling at the hideaway. I don’t feel attached to anyone besides Clive and it feels lonely walking sprawling plains alone with Torgal who is the only one that stays by Clive’s side and again he can’t talk and Clive is already quiet for a character.

I love tons of cutscenes in my games. I want a good story with some awesome scenes. It’s necessary for a good fleshed out story. Think about it: would you really prefer running around reading MORE text dialog boxes on top of the necessary stuff to understand what’s going on?

The most disappointing thing is how slow you run and sprinting takes a few seconds to activate and you can’t ride your big ass dog 😢

I think it’s just not your style of game fully. You mentioned too many cutscenes but the story is why I play it. Like expedition 33.

I really loved this game and idk why but I just enjoyed doing all the fiend quests. Some of them were so aggravating like the one eyed bat cuz I’d keep accidentally pushing it out of the battle zone and having to restart, but otherwise i had such a blast. It was my first FF game and got me into the series.

There’s going to be a lot of story scenes in an RPG like this, so this complaint doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like playing the newest call of duty and saying the game focused too much on guns and shooting, like what did you expect?😂

I would be down for a game like this again with more RPG elements.
– Elemental weakness & resistances
– better gear loadout systems
– super bosses
– a third magic charge for holding the button even longer “firaga” “blizzaga” etc

The narration and storytelling are not great, the story in itself is good, but the way it’s delivered, very bad, with a lot of unnecessary worldbuilding elements to try to be something it’s not supposed to be. It’s trying very hard to be the witcher 3 or games of thrones.
But yeah, the gameplay during combat is good.
Sidequests are pretty much unninteresting, if the reward is not a useful item or equipment, it must at least give a great piece of storytelling, which they do not give most of the time.

If u just rushed the game u shud not buy it took me 120 hours to 100% the game
