My problem has been the characters arent fun to play. The buttons dont feel good to press. The base characters are just bland and boring. This is why none of the other stuff feels “fun” to play.

I came back to d4 in s6 and feel like the lowest hanging fruit I can’t figure out: why is the pit the only scalable content in the game??? You cake walk 99% of the content at end game making everything a chore then put in an endless rat race in the pits that bear no fruit after you max level glyphs

People still play this game? I’m pretty easy to please, and I couldn’t play through season 1 without uninstalling the game. I have actually put more time into D3 than D4 since it’s release, and had infinitely more fun. I may try D4 again three years from now when they figure out how to make it fun.

Diablo 4 designed on aspect builds and lowering them into ground will only cause people like me who level a druid unable to make a build therefore bored and leave the game. This is not poe2 so you can level a toon with yellow item. It has gems. Here you have aspects. They need to throw legon on me endlessly so i can have build variations.

Tbh, they have no idea at all. They fly blind. This is a huge management issue. I have no expectations anymore.

Torment 4 on the PTR was not the equivalent of a season 7 76 Pit, Blizzard said this in the campfire chat, but they say many things and what they did was lower T4 from 65 to 55 and then scale the levels by 20%, which is exactly the same monster HP as before (1.15^65 = 1.18^55). The only things that got harder was the bosses.

Never really played an ARPG until about 6 months ago. I’ve played both POE2 and Diablo IV. I don’t get how people say Diablo IV doesn’t have end game and POE2 does. From what I’ve seen Diablo IV has way more variety in things to do after reaching level 60. I feel like it’s a false narrative that’s gotten out of hand, and now people are going to make that claim regardless.

It will take you a few hundred hours to get to Paragon 270+ (after that doesn’t really matter) and get the somewhat ideal character (gear, glyphs, ideal MW and tempers with max witch powers and gems unlocked) for 1 or 2 different characters.

Diablo IV this season I switch between NMD’s, undercity, pit, hordes, bossing ladder, roothold, headhunt, hell tides and occasionally I do that raid stuff.

POE2 I farm waystones and make maps, so I can farm waystones and make higher tier maps.

It was crap, the leveling process and lack of legendries made leveling up extremely boring and annoying. I loaded up D2R and played that until they switched on fast leveling. Then with maxxed out S8 powers realized it was too easy without using my normal skills. Just took a character that could spam health pots and ran around one shotting everything. It was top heavy, boring as fk at the beginning to get to T1 then too easy as fk afterwards. This was by the worst reworking of the game I have ever seen. I think it may be coincidental that Blizzard have a new game coming out and may be making D4 unplayable so we buy their new game to play, fk that.

My wife and I will not be doing another new season again. Leveling is way to slow and not fun at all. It’s also stupid as hell that there is no interesting content for eternal. No endgame. No fun. If not for a few friends, we would have quit last year. Blizzard needs to get their heads out of their asses…

Current itemisation and aspects system its not working ! Make it simpler. For example +skill only on Armors Helmets or weapons. Remaster runes and make them runewords like in D2 this will work and i will be happy if Jah drops. Make blue items valuable with some good prefixes that you can change to rare item in profcess and add masterwork. Some mechanics are cool ideas and some are dull and boring.

D4 is soo bad that is unreal

For Legendary gear items : all the drops should be mats. In town we can choose which items we want to craft at a new merchant. The affix would also drop as mats.
The only items we see drop are at high tiers would be Weapons and GA Gear (including mythic).
When crafting our legendary gear with mats there should be a nicely put UI for example you place your yellow gloves + choose a affix you’ve acquired and get random stats on them depending on your level.
It would make the game more fun to interact with + you can have fun builds early game without overpowered stats.

When I did pit 150 in sz 7 I instantly quit cause there was nothing left to do. It sounds like sz 8 brings nothing new so I might skip it. It’s a shame, this game has so much potential but somehow blizzard won’t take it to the next level

and make uniques UNIQUE. only one iteration in the game per player. can only be dropped upon death or junked for special shite that allow upgrades for future similar uniques or increase the spawn chance of the boss that drops the items

the campaign is so pointlessly long because it is so empty. we cannot replay the campaign with current characters. the stacking multi chapter open world wss a mistake.
the seasonal rush makes schievements seem pointless, with loot ultimately becoming legacy garbage. the game suffered when the very great slow but needed adjusting pace of the initial release in becoming this arcadey skin grab. so bad

They honestly dont need to change shit. I cant imagine who the hell could possibly be complaining about leveling too fast when it really isnt that bad and it gets slow as hell after P250. I feel like its fine as it is especially if you solo play. Trying to lock T4 is laughable specially since you can just party carry people into T4 and look up a meta build and start putting together a meta build in t3 and youre off to the races….its literally the reason the T4 has such a big population and theyre crying about players, just being able to casually play the game which keeps me playing it tbh. What drives me nuts is how ridiculously hard it is to get anything beyond a 1 star legendary ancestral to drop.

If they can’t add something new, they could at least make Dungeons and horde also have levels to push like the pit.

Also the gear should have extra power based on how high you push, working as a reward and incentive.

Glyphs shoud be back to dungeons and not have levels gated behind the pits.

I’ve never fucking understood why Blizz didn’t just leave their seasonal content in the game, if nothing else then to let us players, that dont want to keep making new characters over and over again (gets too feel pretty sadistic after the fifth barb og 6th rogue btw) play some new content too. For them to work 3 months on content,just to sack it makes as much sense as a cock in a nuns palm and must feel like shit for the developers too. Leaving the seasonal content in might actually make the game even more fun (and fun is good Blizz), and give us some extra content to play around with, now 2 years in and there is still no endgame content. But here is a crazy thought. Scrap the whole seasonal nonsense, and just add content to the main game regularly, new bosses, missions, dungeons, events, fun loot, holiday events where u actually put some effort in, and once in while surprise us with a new raid dungeon. I guarantee you will see alot more players return and play on a daily basis, …let go of seasons and make the game great again (fuck Trump btw) its really not rocket science.

Leveling was supposed to be when you learn to play your class. But with Youtube videos showing you how to play your class, leveling is not needed any longer. So, is it ironic that content creators contributed to the obsoletion of leveling? This is probably a problem for every single game now, not just Diablo.

The solution is to go back to D3..LOL… and have blizz finish the last expansion that was canceled for D3.

Devs only want 10% of the players to reach T4, that just made sure the player count will drop by 90%.

I played the main campaign with (blue) Magic Equipment only. Overall, the difficulty felt about right. I demolished Lilith on the first go around with 138 unused Paragon points. Astaroth ran like a chicken. I had to level up some more for the Sea Hag in the Lighthouse. Aridah was a challenge.

218 side quests. 115 dungeons. 15 strongholds. Numerous cellars, dens, caves…. That is what an ARPG is all about. Seasons are repetitive. Constantly crafting is a waste of time. Aspects and tempering should be applied to the slot. Drop aspects and materials. Sorting through loot – waste of time.

They killed their own game. They couldn’t be further disconnected from what the gamer wants.

When a season concludes, items are transferred to a “withdraw only” SCROLLABLE stash tab in the Eternal Realm. This tab holds all your items from the season, regardless of quantity. Nothing like this exists in the actual tabs that we use. The design is literally already right there!! But it is “withdraw” only and not “withdraw AND deposit” lmfao seriously? It’s down right disrespectful.

I just want a season where there isn’t a couple builds that are insane broken OP, and the rest completely suck. Why can’t they balance out the classes so there are multiple viable builds within 5-10% of each other for each class? Being able to use those skills in your tree would be nice. Think the devs have just created a game with far too many ways to increase your damage and they’re not smart enough to keep all of those options balanced. Tempering, Masterworking, Paragon nodes, glyphs, aspects, rune words, etc. Hitting for billions or trillions of damage is stupid.

I don’t understand why they limit seasonal event to the open world but not nightmare dungeons. So again I have to follow stupid markers on the map to catch up with the event which is limited by time. Biggest problem now is Eternal is for what now? Might as well not even exist. The problem is they need to stop making fucking powers every season, which is the cause of them nerffing everything in the first place. This makes Eternal players have much less fun. They could easily put everyones power on sorcs level (since they seem to hate sorc so much) and the game would be fine. Then just add a new difficulty, or finally some armor set items like Tal Rasha etc. As for seasons, they could easily do something that adds more to the story every season, and move it over to eternal after it’s done. Seem so hard? No. Diablo 4 won’t last another two seasons if they keep doing this bullshit. I bet that 85% of eternal players stop playing, and 65% of seasonal players never come back. Last big problem is all the youtubers that are supporting what the devs are doing. STOP IT. They need to do what the players want .

I felt the same way playing PTR. Yeah I’m one of those grindcore chads. The builds did big dam, but man was it boring. Even boss fights we’re not worth it. There isn’t a good reason to grind anything after you have a few boss powers at 20.

Blizzard really needs to get some confident devs that are proud of their work and will stick by it. The current devs cannot make up their mind on what this gane us or how it should play. The core philosophy of tearing fown the previous seasons best builds while promoting new builds is broken at its core and shows they dont even care to strive for any sort of balance. This poor gane has no identity and it makes me sad, so I boot up Grim Dawn and actually enjoy myself and forget about it

Make game harder and slower. Give player completely overtuned (yet again, just like current season) boss powers to make game super ez and lazy and builds don’t matter. Is this the Diablo-like experience?

for a boomer who already has kinda limited time, my only complains are that
1) the masterwork system is absolutely terrible,
2) GA affixes can not be rerolled
3) paragon leveling past 250 takes an eternity.
4) Imo it is extremely hard to find a proper a solid 3 GA item or even 2 GA some times, since normal legendaries only drop from “normal activities”.

Regarding MW i was trying to do pit 150 with my barbarian when eventually got almost maxed gear,but i ended up running out of obducites,veiled crustalls and some other materials in the progress of getting triple crit on GA’s….. I am perfectly aware that this is also a mistake by my side, since after a point i was simple selling anything, but i did not expect i would end up running out mats, but i am also certain that people that have tried to optimize each and every gear piece they do have, are familiar with this experience.

my problem is not that i run out of mats, my problem is that i had to do very specific content, for a extended period of time. this kind of hardcore grind is not my favourite cup of tea, atleast not anymore, but that is just my opinion and expertience.

Also regarding gearing up, i would like to see an ingame auction house for gold. I think this is essential as the current drop chanes stand

Also i would like more builds that are able to output trillions of damage, but for now my duo core cell brain enjoyed the barbarian quite a lot.

Actually we have lots of endgame-content. Problem is that only the pit is challenging, the rest has so much potential. Like.. infernal Hordes. Why can’t they just change the layout a bit, make it harder? NMD was actually fun back in the days, make something challenging out of this. Openworld content, make it harder. Bosses, make harder. Cellars? Put som fun bosses and rewards into it. Strongholds and events, make it challenging and fun.
