I’ve played both diablo 4 and PoE 2. I say they’re both good.

Sure, PoE 2 is in early access, and so has its issues. Say what you will about Blizzard.

Both games have their ups and downs but are ultimately the same (same genre, at least).

Kinda feeling burnt out from PoE 2, so I’ll pick up Diablo 4 again. Maybe try out Diablo 2 or so.

I played all of the new D4 seasons, and each one seems like a rehash of either an old Diablo, or the new with a new name, the expansion was shockingly bad and every season lasts about 3-4 weeks and your done every boss a million times over, and your just grinding for Drops that never come or boss mats.. end game content is just dead, i think they should make there seasons 1 month long cause that’s about as engaging as they get.. IMO

D4 Community is much nicer than Poe2 Community. Rob wasn’t welcomed to the Poe2 Community lol. I put over 1000 hours into D4 and now blasting Poe2. Not sure this will be enough to get me back though.

End game gearing in Diablo is just ass! The chase for aspects is boring and not interesting at all. I wish there would be more interesting stats are perks on armor that could drop.

Why is a POE 2 incoming patch seems more exciting than a new season of D4?

It’s almost the same thing as SEASON 2 but now the helltide is blue, and with no changes to endgame.

Recently, when I launched Diablo 4 to play, I was greeted by a questionnaire from Blizzard. It seems they are collecting player feedback to improve the game experience.

looks kind a cool, but why you had to lock player power like runewords behind the dlc pay wall blizzard, why. If new campaign and spiritborn is behind the dlc, ok (its not fine by anymeans), but thats one thing, but to gatekeep people from playing your game at all, if you dont own the dlc. How can i get excited about D4 again, if my sorceress has one of her hands tied behind her back right from the season start. :D.

Yeah all good but why do we need that ? It feels recycled not exiting season1 and 2 combined. Also on the question WHY do we need those powers? There isnt a content in the game where you want your character to become stronger. Play for 5 days and you already beat everything and no point in getting stronger.

Awesome, but they should fix tempering and masterworking as soon as possible! Tempering charges on item should reset after a 24h or more. Masterworking resets should reset to rank 8 or 4 and not always to 0.

Can’t wait to see all the poe2 content creators be excited to play this season.

Both are good for different reasons but tey should just accept that POE is going to take endgame, make blasting fun the focus, and they’ll do fine and make more overall money. It is what it is at this point, recognize where they still win and focus on that being fu. Definitely not saying don’t add endgame stuff; but that will not be your retention point. Sort of like COD w/ zombies; fun content and blasting are D4s strong points currently.

Biggest thing that needs to change this season is every single class in the game needs to be powerful not as op as spiritborn last season but every class should have at minimum atleast 1 build that can speed clear pit 100 otherwise this season is going to be horrible just like last season

Cheap borrowed powers. They cant really develop further the game’s crafting system or a content which can widen its gameplay like Poe2 where new mechanics comes in seasons so you will have more content and mechanic to apply to your gear. This time you just only got few ways to farm the new borrowed powers. Kinda same but if you watch closely after season it disappear while in Poe mechanics stays and game will be richer, not like the case in D4. Why? Because i feel its a cheap solution to the season. Why I wont play? Because i didnt but the expansion, when they will provide it free maybe i will play the game because its not worth that money for me while there are other games which provide better content and gameplay less money. And story? Well nowhere near to D2 and D3 story.

I just feel bad for D4. Poe2 is just too good. Not even logging on this season. I rly hope the d4 staff learn/even copy something from poe2. Miles ahead in evry compartment. Gl hf!

I really hate borrowed power systems. All they needed to do was balance the classes, increase the Ancestral drops, and give incentives to level up multiple classes. Since leveling past 60 is account wide, they could have had season leveling on a per character basis.

There is no need to compare it to POE2. You can hate the game just by acknowledging that when a new season comes out on half of the pc systems it is already installed on is unplayable for the first week, bugged and heavily class unbalanced. I have been playing the game from before season 1 and you need to pick tier S builds from a website otherwise you will not access the endgame in viable ways.
Season 6 has been a joke lasted 3 months where you had to grind in group thousands if not millions of the highest pit tiers to reach paragon 300 with the new class because that was the only class which could efficiently farm them.

If rob is still so enthusiast about this game despite the enormous problems it still has nearly 2 years after the official release I believe he’s getting payed and doesn’t give an actual f about actual arpgs players which happen to be critical thinkers.
It is true, this game doesn’t deserve hate: it doesn’t deserve your time thinking about it and earning your salary to pay for it either.

It’s over, blizzard is gone.

Finally. Quit poe2 already since losing exp and 1 death maps just sucks the fun out of it and it’s just a stock trading simulator when you boil it down. Finally I can actually have fun playing an arpg again.

All these new seasons are completely worthless, because it’s just fluff content. There is no point in playing fluff content if there’s no depth added to the character progression like new skills and items, both items you equip and for crafting.

All they want to do is recycle D3 content and add fluff, not new stuff that would make the most important thing in an ARPG, which is making a build and upgrading it, more fun.

Granted D4 needs more work and a way better end game, but POE 2 is slow as Sh%t, POE 1 was mid, and 2 is cool with all the skill trees, but I like to play characters for what they are. I’m getting burned out on endgame maps in POE 2 so I wont mind taking a break and hopping back into D4 for a few weeks. Yes I play and enjoy both.

Thanks for posting Rob, I was under the impression that you were only providing content for POE2, Glad to see that you are still working with D4.

After playing poe2, tried playing d4 again but it feels “meh”. Skills are boring, content is lacking, and playing using wasd is just simply better.

D4 graphics don’t look impressive anymore. It’s like they reduced the graphics to low resolution. Don’t get me wrong I will be playing S7 but the graphics are just not doing it for me 😢

One reason I don’t like the seasonal model of D4. How much time did they spend making these new monster models, animations, abilities, some new bosses with new mechanics… all so they can delete them in 90 days.

Bring back more seasonal activities and seasonal merchants .

Give different benefits for doing each one .

One of the seasonal mechanics have to be a fleshed out power mechanic , one for farming , and 2 different season that had open world affects like the helltide

From there start bringing in some more in depth crafting .

And the game will still be simple and fun

Here is a comparison for you: think how much of these trailers Blizzard spend talking about the backstory etc. Then how long GGG spend talking about it compared to how long each spends talking about the game features and mechanics…like who cares about the story? We need systems to progress and build up our characters, I’m not looking for motivation from a story perspective! Why do I want to kill these mobs? To save Sanctuary or because they drop cool loot and upgrades?

Rob was at times filling in the parts about the systems because they weren’t even mentioning them! Some of these guys need to go and work for a CRPG rather than an ARPG…

I really try to give D4 a chance and watch videos to new seasons and patches, but it never gets me. Everything seems boring. Its like they use same season mechanics over and over again and dont have any “new” ideas. Maybe its to hard to code into the game. Doesnt know. Liked Blizzard a lot, but thats many many years ago. Maybe everyone has to wait until the next paid DLC releases.

After playing POE endgame and campaign, this is what I feel like with diablo4…the whole game is an “endgame” with a shitty campaign. Think about it..all you do is dungeons dungeons dungeons with some “world event bosses/helltide/event” stuff, on a giant “world map”. There is no endgame because the whole game is an endgame design. That’s why it feels the way it does…also it looks and plays like a mobile game at this point…

What are DLC players getting cause they said that DLC owners are getting exclusive content aside from the new Season

After seeing this i am steadfast in my decision to stay off D4. It’s a load of trash. Nothing to do besides the same content over and over and over and over and over and over again with almost little to no variability. I’ve gotten more out of poe2 in the few weeks of EA vs D4 since release.

Season 2 reskinned.. Green Helltide.. Go to Green area slay monsters like, get sone new temporary powers like in Season 2 that’s it. With POE2 uprising, they know well there’s no room for error so lets do season2 with a different theme… right move by devs I’d say.. Anyway There’s one Barb Skill I really wanna try, ill try for a week maybe just maybe….

Looks good but im afraid people who already did pit 150 last season dont really have anything to work towards. No new end game challenges to test the build we make.
