What in the world is this music!
I expected some dark, hauntingly beautiful kurast-vibe music. Not THIS. But as long as the expansion areas have good, dark music in the touch of kurast and honor of earlier games (D1 and D2) then it’s all good. What I’m still unsure about is what end game activity we will have except co-op raids? Better itemization, more uniques and more stuff to grind is good and highly expected, but a meaningful end game chapter is needed aswell. Time will unfold if the expectations are met.

Diablo IV is the most disappointing entry in the franchise. Lacking set items and iconic gear, it feels empty. Instead, the emphasis seems to be on a predatory cosmetic store that undermines the overall experience. As a fan since the 90s, I’ve never felt more disheartened after buying a game. It’s a wound that’s still fresh, and I can’t see myself returning to the franchise because of it. You know it’s bad when the trailer promotes it’s cosmetic store as a feature.

I have been a fan of Diablo since the beginning, and I have always loved the dark gritty music and dark hellish sounds so I fully understand where everyone is coming from with regards to the music choice in the Trailer, however with that said, it is only a promotional trailer to get people hyped for the launch this is not the in-game soundtrack so I feel everyone just needs to take a deep breath and understand that and everything is going to be okay. I personally enjoyed the trailer and honestly got hyped with the music and wanted to leave work early to go home and slay some demons!

I’m still getting the expansion and the song is fine on its own, but for diablo specifically it feels so out of place. diablo is at the very least high fantasy, if not dark fantasy, and should be presented as such. especially when revealing multiple horrific villains.

Super excited for the expansion, I have been playing since THE beta of D4! A lot of hard work was put into making the game better and I am super excited to play the new class and really play through the new leveling system, it seemed pretty cool in the last beta. Can’t wait to try out the mercenaries and the new region looks gorgious too, I love that vibrant look of the rain forest. Different music probably would have fit the trailer better but that is such a small detail relatively speaking. Let’s go October 8!!!

I see almost no new enemies here. Most of them are Khazra, and I am afraid there is not much more of other monsters, that Blizz can show us in game, except bosses.

Wrong choice of music – completely ruined the immersion. I like the song, but not at all in this context – it genuinely kinda ruins the entire “Diablo” feel. Original WoW and D2, as examples, were exceptionally good at immersion because the music made it feel very immersive, made you forget that you’re playing a game. Using radio music for a launch trailer of a dark, ancient, mysterious, strange and dangerous world steeped in deep legends and myths doesn’t fit well with radio-pop Spottily playlist music. 4.5/10 for a launch trailer due to music, but i suggest people just mute it and play Rogue Encampment music from D2 while watching it to make it a 7/10, pro tip.
