Dude, common, stop it. It`s not that bad of a game , after playing Last epoch for the past week , I can honestly say I hate that game. I think LE is one of the most overhyped game that came out this year, that one and Dragon`s Dogma2 , I mean it`s an ok game , but when your strip away the loot filter and stash tabs, cause thats all there is, there is nothing but a shallow copy of D2 / GD/ TQ with better graphics. Crafting is stupid af in that game, I know everyone says it`s the best thing in the game, but it`s actually not, it`s quite stupid, give me D2 (runewords) everytime over that shit, not to mention the bugs, the affixes and suffixes and prefixes that don`t work properly, the overusage of same mobs in every single dungeon (monolith), the fact that you have to grind stupidly to get corruption to get to higher levels and then it drops items level 4 and your char is leve 100 with 200 corruption, the fact that resistances are capped at 75 , and you get one shot from a boss in dungeon and the list goes on and on, and on. D4 sure, has its problems and its gonna take 2,3 years to have a decent game , but we are used to it by now , but if I were to choose between D3 and LE , I would go D3 or D2R in a heartbeat.

I was arguing with this D4 player about the leaderboards not being there day 1.

They said it was a better idea and agreed with Blizzard reasoning for delaying it so your average player can compete since most hardcore players would already be 100 the first week of the season.

I argued that the average player in reality doesnt care about the leaderboards anyways and that blizzard is just disappointing the player base that do want to compete.

The funny thing is we were both wrong. as its turns out blizzard just didnt have it ready at all lol.

You can’t just use the Name as a selling point anymore and produce mediocre games. You have to live up to the Name (examples: “Final Fantasy”, “Skyrim”, “Civilization”, etc ).

1. To be fair, tier 70 Gauntlet is too easy, you can get level 100 and good gear in less than 20 hours and make it top 500 (some got top 20 without ubers..)
2. You can stop Gauntlet, with a stop button (probably due to Snapshot reasons, leave dungeon is not available)
3. You think PoE paragon points is easier than Gauntlet routes/lures/strategies… you’re hilarious man.
4. “You need someone to explain to you like you’re a D4 player”, so this is the paradox, game is stupid and braindead casual, yet you need easy access to ubers, easy content, not complicated Gauntlet runs, a contradictory paradox.
5. Another paradox, Raxx and others said that they don’t know how much mileage they can get from it if they are a casual player, meanwhile casual D4 players in majority states that Gauntlet is too easy and not challenging at all.

The best part about Diablo 4 is that it gave so many content creators a chance to get big just by mocking Diablo 4. Or, I guess, it does mock itself at this point…

PS: I actually like the game.. fingers crossed for next season I guess

• severely lacking in resources and/or talent so they always overpromise and underdeliver
• they are already “hard at work” on the $100 expansion
• they try and fail to use whatever circumstances they’re in to their “advantage” (i.e. delaying leaderboard to give players time to gear up)
• can’t view gear on leaderboard rankers. they already lock your current gear in when entering, they were just lazy and didn’t bother
• any features they couldn’t deliver, they’ll pivot into using as selling points for the next seasons

The problem being when a person goes to load a leader board, they also have to load everyone’s leader board ever from everywhere.

Guarantee they had bigger plans for the gauntlet and delayed it to be able to include everything, then realized it was a waste of time due to Last Epoch destroying their player count. Would be willing to bet money that they ditched the idea and released the bare minimum to continue work on s4.

The gauntlet is literally a reskin of a current dungeon with the same mobs and bosses. It’s just a timed nightmare dungeon…

I bought d4 and played it 2-3 weeks.

Such a waste of time and money but i will never install it again.

The reason why the gauntlet was delayed wasn’t because they were fixing it making sure that there was nothing broken in it but it was to wait for people to start leaving the game and then introduce something else so that people will come back.

They never realized that people were so sick and tired of their BS that they weren’t not coming back.

Blizzard is too busy focusing on these “fantastic” revelations of new features/systems, which is why they can’t have public beta testing. But the problem is that there has been absolutely nothing fantastic about any of their revelations so far, and all of the endgame content feels miserable precisely because they don’t let anyone properly test it beforehand. They have no idea what the players want, or they don’t care, and instead ship random rebranded trash that we’d seen in D3, and even back then people didn’t really like it very much. The game has the best graphics and audio design on the ARPG market, but they simply don’t understand what an ARPG should look and feel like, and what’s enjoyable content.

I even gave these guys like $400 for cosmetics hoping they would out the money toward making the game better. That’s so much money, like my whole life savings… how was it not enough for them to fix the game?
I really feel like they could have used that money to hire somebody to fix the game…

im sure a lot of people are enjoying the gauntlet, and even though its not for me, the strategy aspect did entertain me a bit. but speed runs in diablo has always been the most boring aspect of the game and the main reason i strongly disliked diablo 3. it stifles build creativity and feeds into ‘the meta’, which has always been the worst part of modern arpgs. im really looking forward to ‘no rest for the wicked’ and a fresh take on the top down arpg. diablo, poe, and now last epoch just keep doing more of the same. each game has their zealots, but they’re all pretty bland and boring imo.

As a DIV lover, it may be blasphemy, but at least I’m not doing a comparison with something awful like Last Epoch
I think the gauntlet would be more fun if it was like a D3 challenge rift, at least for this season.
A canned geared, character from a different class each week and some rewards that get mailed to your account.
Makes it something that works for the casuals who aren’t geared and could interest the competitive types looking to top the leaderboards.

In Helldivers 2 you can find in game currency by simply playing. Imagine opening whispering chests to be able to get platinum. PoE, LE and other ARPG’S coming out won’t kill D4 since Blizzard is trying harder than the other devs to kill D4 themselves. Being a fan of the Diablo franchise for over 20 years, that hurts.

I still like (and have hopes for) D4 but this season is embarrassing. Bad idea from the start, scrapped, of course they delayed the gauntlet because it was probably based on the ‘tiptoe’ they scrapped, reused bosses, yea…bad! I am skeptical about the gear revamp too, i think only the add-on at the end of the year will bring something fresh to this complete staleness.

My favorite thing about LE patch 1.0, now that I can finally play it, is all the super awesome loading screens. And the best part is that when monsters die, their health bars disappear instantly. Not even 1 second after I kill them. Last Epoch is the greatest, especially for a game that has only been playable on Steam for 3 years.

Approaching season 4 already still have not fixed all the issues with the game at launch that we paid for, bugs and exploits still rife, campfire corporate plebs try to sell us new features with false smiles, until Blizz attitude towards their player base changes it will always fail, Devs concentrate on their technical abilities to put fancy graphics and code into games and forget about playability and fun, i remember when games were about fun full stop and not having to open your wallet every 5 mins.

To be honest all those guys trying to get us to play D4 or even say any good word about it look like clowns now. It’s trash, it’s unplayable for more than 1 run, blizzard is making a joke out of this game so I would be really happy if everyone would stop talking about it and kill this game once and for all. And don’t get me wrong, I was super hyped and waiting for D4 but it came out as a biggest gaming disappointment of my life.
