Diablo IV is an upcoming dungeon crawler action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, the fourth title in the Diablo series. Ya vi varios gameplay de la beta y tiene toda la pinta, si bien no lo pude probar, parece estar bueno el árbol de habilidades y el modo de crear cada personaje por más que apenas salido el juego ya hallan guías de las (mejores build y stats) creo que va a depender de cada jugador y espero sea más táctico por lo anterior.

Kinda underwhelming to be honest. For a Diablo game that is. I would have expected something more? Like when I look at the animations they don’t seem really to have a lot of dynamic and believability. The way the characters swing the weapons and move. It’s kinda stiff. Biggest issue for me though will be what ever kind of “monetisation” Blizzard will come up with.

I think some of the open areas that have no enemy encounters is for the game to seamlessly load the next area without the need for loading screens.

I love the graphics, but the skills animation and effects looks kinda weak. Well, I guess they’re trying to make it look like the old D1 and D2 simplistic effects instead of the satisfying and colorful D3 effects.
Don’t have much experience in these types of games only got like combined 40 hours into torchlight 2 and path of exile but diablo 4 graphics look insane… I wonder how well it will run especially when things get hectic with particles and effects all over the screen. I’m definitely gonna play the hell out of this game..

Its shaping up to be a game I finish in a month and go back to playing D3. D4 doesn’t look like it has nearly a robust or fulfilling enough end game to keep interest – mostly due to level cap of 100.

Obviously an improvement from d3, but this looks to be a generic, unsatisfying experience as well. They are adding all these elements that have nothing to do with what made d2 so great: Visual novelty. The fighting in diablo games has always been simplistic and I dont think d4 will be much different, so making the game more visually similar to other games out there is a mistake. The appeal has always been this sort of treasure hunt thrill, both visually and gear wise, that made d2 so great, which was achieved through a relatively visually clean look that made discovering the visual ‘anomalies’, so to speak, all the more satisfying. Not to mention the stylistic authenticity d2 had, which I see little of here. There is simply too much going on in your field of vision in both d3 and, by the looks of it, d4. It is too messy. Update the graphics, yes, but put effort into the visual style and into creating these truly novel and gloomy scenaries, and adversaries, that made d2 so appealing. More care should be put into the artistic aspect of the game, and not into making it into something we have played 10 times already. Sadly, I dont think they have another truly great diablo game in them anymore.

Diablo 3.5 I mean I liked D3, the graphics look nice, but I don’t feel this sense of mistery, vulnerability, and wide maps D2R has, the maps seem a bit copied from D3 with better graphics keeping the pipelined style, the monsters look a bit too generic and the attacks are just dull melee attacks plus the D3 affixes (waller, laser, molten, etc), interaction with abilities seem non-existent meaning enemies barely get pushed away or react to abilities rather than just receive damage or freeze, and the map interactions seem non-existent either. Yeah we have call to actions for ladders and small jumps, but that is not a novelty, it is just an invisible gate from one place to another, but other than that, you don’t really jump at will, you don’t have to mind your steps… idk was I expecting too much?

So here is a fair, not funded and a real comment.
This game looks nowhere close to the original Diablo series. And it is not about the poor graphics quality of the demo. It is about all the rest.
– Look at the menus, spell signs closer. The art work has diminished like crazy.
– And what about this Q, this spacebar, this T? since when diablo community needed those letters? they are doing it automatically, and it s just a distraction on the screen.
– Look at the bars on on the lefthand side, the names. They are like generated in PowerPoint.
– Look at the health bars at the top of creatures, look at gold writings on the screen.
Everything looks so much like Age of Empires 4. Something so much worse than earlier series.
Those are all the details which make a game beautiful, and I know that most of you don’t realize them but they are the signs of passionate developers, the ones who really care and who are capable.
I don’t know if this has anything to do with being sold to Activision or with changing the director of the game, but it is what it is.
This is like the difference between Assassin s Creed series and the Witcher 3. AS can never be as good as Witcher, though AS has better graphics and even better combat system.
If you want to see what I mean, if you want to see how this looks like shit and lacks atmosphere significantly, just go and watch any gameplay of Diablo 3. Divide the screen into two, just watch them simultaneously. You will get what I mean if you are not an adolescent who likes whatever thrown.

To me, this looks pretty much like a Diablo 3 clone. 4+2 skills, potion button on cooldown, some skills look like 1:1 copy of D3 in terms of graphics. Narrow corridors with lots of running and very little monsters to fight. Very little tactics, no dodging that requires quick reactions, just tanking and setting your own difficulty… That’s the biggest thing for me, if they copy the balancing from D3, where you have to set your own difficulty and it’s either boringly easy or impossibly frustrating I won’t play this game. D3 never gave me the feeling of being super strong the way other similar games like D2 or Lost Ark do. The first time in Hell D2 on a new playthrough, you barely get by. Sometimes you get stuck, you die, you try to find an area you can comfortably farm… And then later you go to the same area with your overgeared Sorc or something and just destroy everything. Or even better, you do the same with party synergy. That is one of the best things in these games and I never even once felt that in D3. Balancing/Difficulty/Gearing is everything in action rpgs and they completely bungled that in D3.
Same in Lost Ark, destroying an older Raid boss or even skipping mechanics with an overgeared party is suuuper fun, because you remember the struggle you had when you defeated him for the first time, wiping 20 times etc.

I think I am going to wait until review is out. ARPGs have come a long way since Path of Exile, Lost Ark etc. I am not a big fan of the kill-speed on this. I want to see how end gameplay looks like before I am jump in. The mob density on most of their gameplay footage is very low too, you kept on walking without any encounters and when you encounter one, density is not good and going through mobs seems like a chore.

I see a lot of inspiration from DDO ONLINE. DDO ONLINE is a great 17 years old game. I just wish that they could bring the quality of graphics to that of Diablo 4. It always had a night/day cycle and even sunny/rainy/snowy though it doesn t affect questing/monsters or loot. Somewhere in the mix of all the games strengths lies the perfect one!

Im playing diablo 3 since it released over 10 years ago and I cant see different. For me it looks same just little bit darker and new content and I should pay 70euro for that? This is hackwork!

Fuck playing with anyone else, that shit does not interest me in the slightest. – Diablo has always been single player, it’s not WoW, you get lost in the world SOLO – the ruined immortal being online with other players – dunno why the whole world can’t have 0 other people but IF need be in dungeons or world bosses they ‘zone in’

I hope there’s more enemies in this game. That was a thing that irritated me in D3. Running for a while without encounters, it just doesn’t make you feel like there’s any real danger from the burning hells. In D1 and D2, pretty much anywhere you went within 30 seconds, it was a hack and slash fest. You were INVESTED in the elimination of the enemy. D3 for me was just, “I guess I’ll kill these guys, but does it really matter?” I don’t know if it’s the feel, nostalgia interference, game mechanics or what, that’s just how it felt. Then again that feeling might have been increased by that damn auction house, worst idea ever, really cheapened the game.
Also, hopefully the story is better this time around…
D4 = D3 mark 2…

Just finished Diablo 3 with the necromancer class and have to say it was incredibly…boring.
In diablo 2 it was a cool progression where you started off with 1 skeleton and you got more as you levelled up and even with a whole bunch of them certain areas were really challenging.
In D3 you get 7 overpowered skeleton immediately at the beginning and you just have to literally walk cross the game without doing anything, while your undead army takes cares of everything for you.
Hope it wont be like this in D4

the dark and realistic artstyle is not new, its going back to how diablo used to look in diablo 1 and 2, the only one that looked cartoony like it was world of warcraft was diablo 3, also the rune system was in diablo 2

I’m actually feeling really good about this game. The only thing I don’t really like tho, is the abilities. Not too big of a fan, they don’t really overwhelm too much.

There’s far too much of the D3 engine that’s copy/pasted on this game. I have a feeling tnag will cost them. I’ll stick to D2R until I’m just done with Diablo games in general. D1 and D2(R) are by far their best games. The fact that this takes place after the events of D3 is also ego driven and foolish. Blizzard trying to recoup their losses for a game they know is trash (d3) is just sad.
I’m not interested in the way they overhauled the game. But hopefully I’m the small % that won’t purchase this till its 50% off.

Am I the only one who feels the graphics are outdated and isnt sharp. Animations look fine but nothing appears crisp. Even the terrain is washed out and so bloody dark. Hurts my eyes straining to see things.

A lot of people are saying that Balders Gate 3 is going to be so much better than Diablo 4, but D4 looks in a different league, for me anyway. I much prefer the fluidity of real-time combat and this game looks so polished. It’s easily one of my most anticipated games of 2023. 🤞
