First time when I played the game was weird. But as I dived deeper and deeper in the story, it reminded me more and more of the atmosphere of Diablo2. But this game is even darker and more depressing. I love it.

For Zarbinzet ( 01:25:19 ), in game it sounds like Lisa Gerrard singing but it doesn’t seem to play the vocals on any of these OST listings on youtube. Is it not her, or some other uncredited vocalist (which if its not her, I’d be very very surprised) ? I would just be excited to find out that she worked on this absolutely amazing OST.

Was hoping to hear a new remake of the unfading Tristram etc. Disappointed. The album is 90% generic epic orchestra and “cave ambient/town ambient” like millions of other OSTs. Yes, it’s a very high quality work technically, but there’s no desire to listen a second time, and it’s not memorable in any way.
I wish Matt Uelmann had made a new Tristram for this game.

A lot of these songs keep growing on me, even after a dozen listens. So many favorites already.

Music is very low volume in game, or maybe effects are too loud. I had to put everything else at 70% to be able to hear the music, but it’s great and I love it.

I really wish they could put a piece with more oomph into the menu music, especially the opening. It was super memorable in D2, as soon as you boot up the game, that tune just kicks in and it’s building up the tension and excitement. Don’t get me wrong, there are many masterpieces in this collection. I mean that climax in “By 3 they come” is just *chef’s kiss*. I just hope we have an open with a bang.

In my opinion, they should have expanded on the pulsating “Jaws”-like motif introduced at the end of track 2. That is the most iconic & haunting moment of the entire soundtrack. It deserved to be explored in a quiet sinister fashion as well as some epic final culmination. I feel robbed by the potential! >:(

It’s not just the music, but the presentation that truly makes what I would call this production “state of the art”. There are so many small nuances at play in the ambient world that work so well with the soundtrack it that elevates head and shoulders above its contemporaries. If you plan on presenting this on vinyl, I will be first in line.

Did we get any confirmation that Lilith was planning any indisputably dastardly deeds for the residents of Sanctuary, if she got Mephisto’s power? Because right now, the way the story ends actually seems like sort of a tragedy, with our “hero”/Wanderer seemingly asserting that she is up to no good and slaying her without further discussion. Was that actually for the greater good of Sanctuary on the whole? Whats everyone think? And thanks in advance!

First time I entered Nevesk, hearing that guitar strum instantly brought me back to diablo 2. But my favorite song is the theme for the town Kyovashad. It hits all the feels and makes you imagine you are in some dark war-torn european town. Idk if that makes sense but the song could be used in a ww2 movie.
