Pros:
I like the aesthetics, its what dia3 should have been. this graphic is how i saw diablo 1 and 2 back in the days, when it was brand new. The spacebar jump is a nice touch for dodging, i like that. but enemies have to deal more damage if that feature should make sense. Still cool, so i put that in cons. Or giving mobs different abilities, so you have to avoid cetain attacks on spacebar, that gives debuffs. Cinematics is amazing. The rogue is cool, cause thats a class in diablo1, and they made a pretty cool redesign on that one.

Cons:
I dont like the ring indicator when clicking, that belongs in accesability option, and the damage count, i turn that off, and that font for dropped items, they should stick with the diablo 2 font and border for dropped items, when pressing alt. I say this, cause you guys forgot one thing, Diablo is about the immersion and the aesthetics of a one-in-a-kind genre. You losing that with alot of unecessary UI.
potions should be like in diablo 2. Hate the potion mechanic in this game, too easy, its dia3 all over. The way inventory works in dia3 and dia4, not a fan. Should stick with dia1 and dia2 inventory design, where a armour fills more inventory. Doesnt make sense that you can carry 30-60 platebodies. Runewords has to be a thing again. E.g. skillbooks like in diablo1, just class based for elite spells, that you would do fine without, but makes the difference, to make a specific build, that isent just the same as the coming meta.
Character creation, looks like you creating a character for Guitar Hero. Dont like that, Barbarian used too much, would rather wanna see the “Warrior” class re-enter like in diablo 1. ground indicators on enemy spells and own spells with a red ring, is also unecessary, we learn the mechanics by looking at the animation, thats how games used to be made, and should still stick too, also since developers have become so much better at making dynamic bosses, that e.g. shows its about to hit you with its tail instead of one hand movement, with a ring on the ground.

Lilith is great and Inarius is a massive POS in this game,
They really twisted the usual narrative by making you the player being loyal to what is essentially the corrupt bad side.
Everything Lilith does in the game makes more sense than what you and Inarius are doing, Inarius is basically a crazed power hungry Angel who wants to be CEO of heaven and lord over mankind, so he has to kill Lilith who wants to protect humanity.

I Wish Activision Blizzard would upload the 4K anamorphic widescreen versions they clearly create. Those of us that appreciate 21:9 have Ultra Wide Monitors. The letterboxed 16:9 uploads just make me cry… Come on Blizz, you know you want to.

In first trailer main character was black, good and “smart”, white dudes were evil scoundrels and the whitest was pure evil 🙂 In second trailer main character is a black woman, also positive character and angel has a black man`s voice. For those people that do not know the history of D1 this is an ok to good game. however, for those who Love Diablo this is not it. E.g., it’s like training in JUDO and the instructors let +60’s train where we can no longer touch each other (simplified content). D4 has Great art, some line of skills but each skill has the same effect ( a win button) just be careful what class you pick, some are FAR worse than another. ( i.e. barbarian has far slower progression compared to sorcerer ). Up grading items is lacking lustre, Find the + green number and go. Apparently gamers are not able to understand if we fight a fire monster we need fire protection, So it is now built in to our armour as a base of 50% resistance on armour to ensure you don’t instantly die. Have a look at how D1 items were used, then D2 with runes/ gems, D3 crafting and now we have D4, I hope there is more to it on final launch. Once you finish the emote events (I found to be an irritant) and realise that events in the world are often not worth the time to complete or repeat, through poor balance to damage or time to complete depending the class you play. Would you want to repeat all these again and again or would you look for better content . For now I can’t say , I hope there is more than just this , that is not locked behind Battle passes.
Art team Nice job only 2 comments lower the reflection of water a bit and give everyone a lantern to explain the shadow, ( normal light to a glowing imp ).
In short the game has devolved, far greater hand holding now.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but since the beginning of Blizzard’s games, all the movies have been epic. Games are great and always balanced, but these movies from diablo 1 to WoW, hots, Overwatch, SC are at a high graphic level, however, many companies can afford effects, but someone is sitting there and makes sure that they move the deepest emotions, movies are always serious, and they’re always legendary. No company came close, cinema films are hard to find similar to these. Someone from the beginning of the company takes care of this, because it is not possible for this to happen with all games by accident, and the company’s policy will not take care of it. Behind this is a real artist.

I am writing this open letter to express my concern about the future of Diablo Immortal. I have noticed that many players and content creators have been quitting the game due to its repetitive and uninteresting gameplay. The game lacks promising content, and it seems like the only solution the company has is to add another difficulty for players to grind on.

While I understand that the company earns from whales, I believe it is crucial to make the game more F2P friendly. The majority of players in every game are F2P and it is crucial to keep them engaged and invested in the game to keep the community healthy.

Therefore, I would like to suggest the following changes to improve Diablo Immortal:

PVP: The current battleground system is highly imbalanced, and it would be great if the matchmaking could distribute the members evenly based on their resonance, CR, and class. A custom lobby would also be a great addition, allowing players to have the match they want with each other.
Paragon Difficulty: The current difficulty system is prelonging the players’ progress and growth, and it seems like each difficulty is just a repeat of the previous one. It would be great if each difficulty had something in store for players to make it worth the grind, such as exclusive legendary items or cosmetics.
Legendary/Green items: Many players grind endlessly to upgrade their combat rating, only to end up salvaging the items. It would be great if each legendary drop was guaranteed to be an upgrade to their current gear, giving players a sense of progress and growth each day.
More Immortal vs Shadows: It would be great if the game had another major mechanic in addition to shadow war and rite of exile.
Normal Gems: The daily cap for normal gems is a major reason why many players are quitting the game. It limits the progression of F2P players and makes it difficult for them to get stronger. It would be great if the daily cap was removed. There 6 different normal gems, imagine how long will it take a F2P player to upgrade theirs!
Immortal/Shadow Quests: While it is not a major issue, it would be great if the game had 10-20 new quests to keep players engaged and interested in the game. Repetitive gameplay is boring.
Market: It would be great if players could trade legendary items, making the game more F2P friendly. The current market system is only usable for whales.
Support: The company earns millions of dollars from players and whales, and they deserve better customer service support. Automated replies and canned support are not enough, and the company should make an effort to get in touch with players more often. When a player files a support request, they should receive a personalized reply with specific reasons and help. When a player or clan is mass reported, the company should review it manually and take proper action.

I hope these suggestions will be taken into consideration and help improve Diablo Immortal. I am confident that these changes will help retain and engage players, and make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

Nice and in the game the “c00ksuk3r69” will ran past you in the new “open world” with his pink dyed cosmetic armor from the store. Don’t fool yourselves the hope for the franchise, even if some was left after diablo immortal, died the moment they announced that it will be a live-service game. As a studied game designer I can already clearly see in the developer updates multiple gameplay mechanics solely implemented to make cosmetic MTX skins and pets etc viable. The moment developers implement stuff only to sell cosmetic MTX you should be alarmed.
nobody needed a live-service, never-dying , open world multiplayer looter with a hub (a.k.a destiny/warframe/etc..etc..) We all just wanted a well crafted single player experience like D2.
D4 will be riddled with endless missable skins and events all catered to “everyday log-in , bring yoru friends” cleintee.
