what i noticed about the clan feature is it kept promoting clans that were full or had full requests when i tried to apply to them. is it that hard remove clans that i cant apply for?

that missing legendary drops was already in the open beta, i discovered the tab in my stash when i opened it and it was filled with a few items. Though maybe it was items collected from a quest hand-in that I couldn’t get because my inventory was full? Either way I thought that feature was already in the game

Should every class be boosted to Necro/Sorc power level OR should every character be downgraded to Druid power level (aka making the game much harder)

Keep in mind many people that played druid FIRST in the open test enjoyed the experience and only noticed there was a damage output issue when they played the other classes.

a side note. i hope there is more variety of mob density’s and hp variance in D4. it got sometimes boring to kill packs of 30 1 shottable enemies over and over. id like to see more Elites with 10x the hp in packs of like 5-10. more mini bosses and things like that. give us more diversity in what we can build for. solo boss build, low mob density build, medium/high density etc. like gimme a fat trash mob with 100x hp that just shits bile that does a ton of damage. so i have to kite it while i kill shit. when i see clips of a rogue using flashy skills killing low density mob spots it looks sick.

Wrong bro.. In D2, blue and white items were both useful for early and lategame/ min-max builds. They could be worth more late-game runes than any unique in the game. Because Blues could roll the highest rolled stats in the game, just less affixes than something like rares and uniques. So things like Jmod, JAotW, and +6 claws were very very VERY valuable and rare. White items made bases for late game runewords which also, became very valuable. Just because they went causal color progression in D3 doesn’t mean that bad itemization design was always part of Diablo. I wish you played more D2 to really understand why fans show some sort of disappointment with these types of things.

Even if Blizzard decided not to go this route, they can make it more interesting in future patches. Blues/ Whites being boring after the first 5 minutes of the game is bad design. They should have it where Whites have highest armor values and are required for crafting, as an example. They just went lazy on this

Blues, whites and yellows are all required end game Diablo 3 for crafting mats. So when they say they’ll have no place end game I hope it includes crafting mats, becasue that means you’ll still need to pick them up, and then break down.

d2 has perfect itemization. sockets make white items valuable, runewords make ‘superior’ valid and useful, and ethereal makes those certain rune words incredible.
D4’s loot consists of “green number good” and “does this legendary boost my damage?”
after playing the beta my hopes are incredibly low. skill tree is a twig, they say paragon opens that up way more but you look at that tree and it’s “DEX, DEX, DEX, 18% crit damg” and then more stat nodes
they tried to copy PoE and fell flat on their face, They ripped off the rotating squares from Wolcen (they had circles, remember?) and they ripped off Grim Dawn skill tree, it’s just vertical instead of horizontal, and significantly smaller on D4’s side. and they still screwed it up.
Blizzard isn’t run by gamers anymore. i’m certain of that.

I personally want to see more body modifications, especially in the hair/facial hair/tattoo department, but also in body types. Having a deathly skinny necromancer is a bit of a turn off for me. I’m of the opinion all types of player customization are only a benefit. Now I understand having certain limits on the type of character you have, but I see nothing wrong with having a perfectly ordinary necromancer, or a short druid etc.

I do want the Necro skele’s top look a bit more realistic than the cartoon garbage, but I also want it to be clear and obvious where your summons are. I like the idea of putting a certain icon above their heads, that way you can always keep track of when you have max summoned

If it comes to inventory in h’n’s games, the best one is from torchlight 2. And the pet of course.

I think the even more annoying part for necromancers was the fact that when there’s a corpse on the ground there was this weird little glowing effect. And since you’re killing monsters non-stop in this game you see it all the fucking time and it’s really annoying to the point where I might not even want to be a necromancer. We’re not stupid we know what a corpse looks like we don’t need it highlighted for us.

At the very least let it be an option that can be turned off for people that want it off.

I played the beta and fell asleep lol. What do you people see in this? Most boring game I ever played lol. I’m just waiting for that fresh new MMO smell so I can throw my life away for 1000 hours before I quit and do the same thing lol.

It’s pretty cringe to me that no one seems to understand that the reason the skeletons are blue is because that’s the colour of the magical essence that is animating them, it’s literally the glow of a soul that’s been forced into the corpse. It’s also incredibly cringy that people are upset about it because the visuals actually fit the game and the lore aesthetic perfectly.

I don’t like the legendary system in D4. They have no intrinsic value. They’re very boring to acquire. The imprinting aspect system is also lazy, as that shows me the developers don’t want to create unique items for each character. Getting drops for other characters is good if you implement a trading system. I don’t want to ALWAYS get a drop from a boss for my character – I just want to see cool shit every now and then so that it’s special. D2 failed when it came to the availability of high-end items though, but it made them valuable, maybe too valuable(have you ever had a Griffon’s Eye drop? I thought not…). Overall, the unique items in D2 were definitely awesome though because the random rolls gave you something to work towards if you got a low roll on something, so min-maxing became a choice rather than mandatory once you got all of your gear. Low roll unique’s also created a market of currency. It was never a feels bad because trading existed. D3 created feels bad moments once the auction house was removed and trading wasn’t put into the game. If trading was put into D3, then it would’ve been one of the best games ever made. D4 has a lot of major issues where a lot of pointless grinding will occur for no reward that feels special – it’s a worse version of D3 when it comes to the loot. I feel like I won’t max out a character in D4 even if I spent 3 times the mount of time doing so compared to D2, and that’s an issue. I think D4 is going to burn a lot of people out after a few hours. The beta definitely burnt me out as I felt like I had to rush to try everything out. I’m waiting for a developer to make an ARPG that’s actually loot-based like D2. I don’t care about skill trees or any of that garbage as it’s inherently lazy game design when it comes to RPG’s. I want to build a character by synergising equipment.

Everyone crapping on the druid – guess what? The game is basically D3… so the set/legendary powers will make druid good. Its all about the % multipliers again, so classes besides Druid will just have a smaller damage multiplier.

Lets go back to what the devs first said about the Diablo 4. They wanted to go back to how Diablo 2 was. Now let me ask you how are these characters classes even close to what Diablo 2 was? my favorite part about diablo 4 is that they took the dumb colored (red, blue, yellow) outlines and color overlays off the monsters. It just took me so far out of the experience.

I like how necro skeletons look personally. It’s just my take but I like how its easier to differentiate your summons vs monsters. To each their own tho. Maybe just give an option to either make them like how they were in the beta, or turn off any sort or difference between the 2.

Also: I hope they have an option to auto dismantle items without pre selected options on pickup.

Blue items having higher rolls is interesting. It makes you think about whether you want a higher roll on an important affix vs more affixes with lower rolls. White items could have been interesting if they had implicits on them that can’t roll on blues or yellows, and then you could add affixes on them via crafting.

I kinda liked how they made white items valuable for providing a crafting material that you wouldnt get otherwise in D3. There where literally white item runs you would do to stock up on them.

That being said i am not crying over white and blue items just not being a thing anymore in lategame. Especially because the inventory space is already pretty scarce and we will be picking up rares even in endgame.

Games nowadays always have issues with lack of inventory. For loot based games. This is stupid and ignorant. Developers need to stop doing this asinine bullshit with inventory space. Star Wars Galaxies will always be #1 with inventory management, and it’s a 20 year-old game.

Console D3 actually handled the inventory well. Every gear piece would be placed into the catagory, e.i. weapon, head, chest, and took up a single space.

Replace the white and blue gear drops with a split between the respective crafting material they exchange for and gold, but at lower drop rates.

I think the best way to get your money’s worth from the game is to roll druid, extending the duration of the campaign by at least 5x hours. Slow your endgame progression down enough to enjoy it rather than blowing through it on every other class wondering, what do I do now.

no creativity with white and blue items. make blues weaker but let every attribute slot be selectable by jamming attributes from whites or blues in the items N times till it breaks plus durability that can’t be repaired so the grind for that slot is still a thing. I like playing D2, but running *HELL* with *half your inventory filled with Charms* isn’t great

For most of the classes the body types are fine. Barbarians should have to be buff, the necros should have to be skinny, but thats because those are the only valid fantasies for those characters. But druids have 2 different archetypes when it comes to this pagan style. One being the big burly Beorn type, which is what we got, but the other is the spooky nordic forest shaman covered in ash and bones and furs like a member of the band Heilung.
Both of these should exist in the game since the druid represents both of them with his abilities. Transforming into a bear is for the big burly Beorn type, while transforming into a wolf is for the spooky nordic forest viking shaman.

People who wants to play as this sort of pagan druid wants to either be Beorn, or they want to be a part of the Heilung band. The Heilung version is probably alot more popular so I think that should be avaliable for the druid only. No other class should have more body types because no other class stray from their archetypes as much.
Maybe the sorcerer should have an “old” body type which makes them hunch over and lets them have a long wizard beard, and maybe the rogue should have the option to not be a 5’4 manlet aswell, but no more.

Druid gonna end up being a unit later on, just you watch.

Sounds exactly how the DEI crew handles development. Get high as a kite and figure out what everyone will hate and what hair color is next for each of them, braid leg hair, more body modifications, get high again and call it a day.

Ok gonna say it again, literally no one is “worried” about the skills tree’s for classes etc.
Having good items and character skills is the bare minimum bar for an ARPG.
The ultimate thing to worry about is… does it have more content/systems other than the “collect 2 boxes and bring them here to open the door to the dungeon boss”, or the outdoor boss that we saw during the open beta.
D4 needs more than just Rift and Greater Rift like it was in D3, it needs depth (depth doesn’t mean that it has to be complicated like PoE).
