Just realized that the Tactician glyph bonus effect activates when getting free novas from Iceheart Brais, so that’s gotta be pretty strong. Looking forward to the next iteration of Blizz Sorc! I’ve been having so much fun tweaking things as my gear changes! Cheers brother.

i play this kinda build since the start but i m really disapointed about the frostbolt part, when u reach a good mana regen i don”t really understand how u can call it the best single target spell, ice shard clearly does it better and u can save a spell to have barrier of whatever u want, i only spend a point in frostbolt for bosses so i can stagger them fast with frostbold + nova + blizzard then i spam 1/2 ice shard and boss is dead, i tried to play around frostbold for bosses and clearly does less damage even with a good amout of attack speed did i missed something about the spell ?

U CAAAAAN get direct damage from blizzard if u use the glacial aspect. The ice spikes will do the burn for u automatically on blizzard. Also if u switch ur amulet and ur 2 handed weapon abilities something amazing happens. I struggled with the decision but went with biting cold on 2H weapon to get the 70% vulnerable chance…u want this in addition to avalanche passive because it will give u CONSTANT freebies to keep spamming blizzard. I proc it MULTIPLE times PER mob. The fact that u can proc vulnerable from blizzard makes it so u DOUBLE the chance of proccing avalanche. Yes ice shards are stronger…but as a freezing sorc myself….its better to spam blizzard and only use ice shards for bosses and elites. Nothing wrong with shard builds…but if ur a blizz sorc….imo…this is the way

despite the frost bolt, the burn from the enchant is procing from the ice shards that spawn on frozen enemies ? because i dont think the blizzard ticks can proc it, nor the ice spikes.

Frost nova is useless when you have frozen orb and you can spam it… and it freezes

Blizzard , frozen orb combo is literally instant kill. Fuck all the let’s spec into every spell element.

this build is terrible for nightmare dungeons. you need as low time to kill as possible and to be as tanky as possible. this build is neither

Playing a very similar build and it’s super powerful. I am using the unique nova pants though. I did a lvl 48 key at lvl 73 with it.

Since you have Temerity, keep using potions for barrier if there’s extra potions on the ground.

edit: i’m also using warmth passive. burning enemies gives me barrier when i’m at full health by just being around me. 0.9% hp regen per burning enemy near me = barrier regen with Temerity.

How did you get 6.8k attack power? Im also lvl 74 and im only about 4k. And my item power is very similar to yours same with my intel stat. Cant figure it out at all.

I have been testing out a blizzard build for my sorc as well….now I’m only a lvl 52 yet, but 2 legendary I’ve found pretty useful are the glacial archon gauntlets, and the band of frozen tundra since the bracers make blizzard spawn ice spikes while it’s falling and increases the damage by 25% of ice spike. The ring makes deep freeze spawn spikes while it’s active, but more importantly it increases the explosion radius by 50 % so it makes the blizzards spikes more effective. Be interesting if you could test this for me since I don’t have the other gear and specs yet.

Is this end game viable? I used a blizzard sorc for levelling and absolutely loved it until I hit a brick wall in nm23 dungeons.

Blizzard is a DoT. It damages over time, not directly. Same as Fire Wall or a poison puddle.

Great guide, I’ve been experimenting with Blizzard sorc independently and wanted to see what ideas there were out there for it. What do you think of going more into lucky hit in the skill tree with this build to proc frozen more often on enemies?

Does Frost Nova count as an immobilize?

I started with blizzard and it felt very strong didn’t know why more people played it. Guess ice shards meta kept people from playing. I have my guy setup a bit differently but same idea spam blizz freeze things and it all dies. The problem comes when I am facing really tanky elites and they get unstoppable and damage falls of so crazy . Finding ways to build around theses problems. Nice build thou nice to see a fellow blizzard guy around

I love it, but personally prefer playing with ice armor in the hotbar over ice shards, just for that extra protection

Hey ty for the Video, really well done. Keep it up! What keeps me away from trying new builds like that is the missing option in the game to save builds and paragon boards and swap them out all at once. Diablo 3 and so many other arpgs have features like that. I really want to try different builds but dont want to spent an hour of swapping around everything jsut to try something out and then having to swap everything back… We need at least 5 slots at the wardrope to save up builds like we can save up different looks of our characters. They can keep the gold cost, thats perfektly fine imo.

Chears, Sam here. 3 skills procs from lucky hit. – While you dont take any lucky hit on gear or skilltree. Does it work anyway? oh wait 4-5 cause “up to” skills use lucky hit for its base value- like frostbolt chill is multiplied by %LH, firebolt etc. Might be the reason why it doesnt apply more shill, or maybe its buged, as you said.
Build is great. Did you remove from the build the shards lego that works with blizz? Im the chain lighting guy that pissed you off on stream 😀 sorry for that, that was rude
