Would you consider playing SSF?
It’s hubris, not being on the offensive. Season 11 is everything no one wanted.
6:22 No, a proper leaderboard system would do that. Although SSF is a win, competition wont change. The Tower is not a leaderboard system, it is a singular leaderboard and it is disappointing.
I just realized something. That tree thing from POE 1 new league (which im not playing) Is literally Tree of Whisper but better. I want Tree of Whisper to be that… Tree of Whispers but better
I don’t understand the defenses rework. If they don’t want people to so easily reach the armor and resistances cap, they could just keep the same system and lower all the stats. Plus, armor is already a rating system, so I don’t see how it changes other than reducing all damage. And resistances are easy to understand right now, which is good.
4:55 – Why can we still brick items? Players hate that. Instead, increase the cost with each sanctification – similar to enchanting.
For some RNG situations, it will make since to continue crafting on the same item, and others will start with a new item.
I’d like to know why RaXx is doing Diablo content when he doesn’t play it anymore? He made it clear last season that he was over it and now doesn’t make content for it.
sounds like they might take the legendary effects and put them on a big skill tree as notables. i.e a poe skill tree. then make more legionaries and decrease the drop rate a bit. I don’t know what to do with the characters skill trees.
I think if they slowed the game down, the slow doors wouldn’t feel so bad. we be zoomin’
I loved the segment where they said they don’t want to “MMO-ify” Diablo 4 when on release they wanted it to be more on an MMO with the open world, then they go on to announce SSF as if the game isn’t wildy dead in party content as is. I don’t know anyone who plays the game with a 4 stack of people.
SSF is terrible in this game. In season 8, i spent 6+ billion gold trying to roll core skills on gloves. Trading is a must unless you want to not have shit. There’s way too much rng.
I think for season 11 of Diablo IV they should bring back set legendary pieces that way when you have all these armors equipped builds are drastically changed just like in Diablo 3
Diablo 4 is basically SSF anyway since they changed the way lair bosses work with the chests

I don’t think anyone has asked for more torment levels. Instead give more options to juice content similar to profane mindcages to add more levels and modifiers to monsters for people who want to push more in the endgame.
I was also a bit unhappy with Colin’s answer on Sanctification. He mentioned that they want to keep the power level low since it could be a long term addition to the game and they want to keep the power level in check because of it.
I’d prefer if they make a seasonal power stronger and more interesting/crazy and then tone it down when adding it to the base game. I don’t need a seasonal power if all it does is help me to push that extra pit level at the very end-game
Personally, I’d love to see 5 character specific, private stash tabs and 1 shared stash tab for all characters to share. The shared tab will be great for transferring runes, mythics etc. Right now its a stretch to play multiple characters per season and I can see this getting worse if you need to keep multiple copies of an item for sanctification.
I feel so sorry for D4 players… Glad I found PoE2 and don’t have to worry about Blizzard’s nonsense anymore
Sounds like a whole lot of nothing and shows they really don’t have a clear vision on what they want the game to be. Crafting is awful, trade system = chat spam, loot filter being reviewed actively and is two years to late, no meaningful chamges/additions to end game.
Road map constantly changing plans sums up the main issue with the dwv team…
I haven’t played since the beta weekends way back when but I hated the fact it was open world with randoms just running into my fights and killing the things I was fighting.
Give us a Kanai’s cube season and then leave it in the base game

Lmao Raxx? As far as I know, that dude doesn’t play D4 anymore. All he does is making a tier list video each season and usually ends up ridiculously wrong. Yea, D4 really has no hope.
I don’t understand why the devs are so adverse to keeping season powers in game as part of the base going forward. I completely understand the worry about “bloat”, but there’s very obvious popular mechanics that SHOULD be kept in game and being iterated on. I feel like it’s starting to feel more and more like they simply don’t know how to keep some of this stuff in game and balance around it, it’s sounding more and more like it’s just an incompetence in being able to do it. They should be layering at least some complexities into the game play experience at this point by stacking some of these mechanics – it keeps getting asked about over and over time and time again and they keep not doing it as well as dodging the questions around it.
Seasons is what ruins this game. They spend too much time dancing around new mechanics instead of developing core game. Thats why every 4 seasons its a rework. But they have to – to sell shop items.

im glad they reworking skill tree, itemization and paragons, i think that is the major issue with the game, and i also believe that they should make NMD’s into some type of endgame progression system or create a new system for this.
the devs and their attitude/responses are one of the biggest reasons i wont be returning to D4. The difference between a GGG Dev Q&A vs D4/Blizzard Dev Q&A is immense. Im not even a huge fan of POE (1) and am an original D1/2/3/4 player, but its time for me to switch. D4 uninstalled. Season# fail.
I played the S11 PTR for 50 hours and enjoyed it, I do not play meta builds. It was harder which made it better, not so much harder that you could not dominate with creativity by then end. I liked the new monster verity. I always liked the old mastserworking system and still do, never understood the complaints. Do not understand all the crying about nerfs, which the game absolutely needs. Also, It gives them room to develop the skill tree and add power there. Can’t wait for Dec 9th and S11
yep – they just killed d4 for the majority of the player base in that interview – their determination to be the fun police.
The obvious misinformation they put out (like chaos armor make balance impossible – when s10 has been the best balanced season we have)
That changes to armor resistance will allow more difficultly tiers – what’s the point when the best builds are stuck on tier 75?
The hubris of these guys in the refusal to listen to what players want is colossal – if they double down on these things in further interviews then I’m out and for the first time in over 20 years I won’t be playing a Blizz game, already out of WOW as the time sink is too much, if they do the same with D4 then it won’t be for me
All D4 has is the power fantasy and the blast – take that away and this game has nothing to offer – that is season 11 – the season of nothing to offer the players, but grind, grind, grind
PTR felt most like a Diablo game D4 has since I first played the campaign. These are good changes but they’re going to expose some rough areas that have been covered by seasonal powers and MW scaling. My only concern is how long it’s going to take for other systems to catch up and adjust to changes this big.
I think raxx did a terrible job with the interview. He asked softball questions and didn’t push back on anything significant. Obviously the devs can’t just leak everything. The devs seem completely out of touch, there is no way they launch season 11 thinking they aren’t going to lose a massive amount of players.
The future is so hot, we`ll have to wait 10 more season to even touch D3.5 again…
Ssf? The trade is this game is atrocious and it’s already pretty much ssf. They need to add trading to the in game options.

Designing video games is hard. Even POE2, which has had full continuity of leadership, unlimited ideas to borrow from POE1, and years of development still needs a very long beta. Heck, they’ve had like 3 major patches and they’re finally like “yeah, maybe we missed the mark with towers”. And the game still doesn’t have swords…. But I’m not worried. POE2 gets better with every patch. And I think D4 is getting better too. Could it get better faster? Sure. But sometimes that’s not how the creative process works….
Season 10 was a ton of fun. I appreciate Season 11 because it looks like they’re taking a big swing. Sometimes you miss. (i.e. look at POE2 0.2.0). But at least its not the same four powers every season.
The interview went better than i expected. The developers are finally talking about their “hows” and “whys”. (They’re not going to share the “what” until they are ready.) I guess my biggest complaint is that we still don’t know what their vision is for season 12+. If seasons 12 and beyond have the meta-shaking impact that season 10 (and possibly season 11) have, i think they are on the right track. If it slips back into season 8-9 mediocrity, the interest will be low.
I’ll admit that I’m probably on tons of copium – but my guess (hope?) is that the expansion touches so many systems that seasons will just have to be different in 2026 and beyond. But i guess we wont know until its finally announced….
d4 – we can’t figure out how to make a fun endgame, so we are going to make the early game miserably slow. have fun! (just long enough to buy all the MTX, then please log off to save our servers money).
They really should’ve done this interview after the expansion announcement, because half of the questions were answered with “stay tuned”. And I understand why it’s the case, but at this point people are more interested in what’s to come rather than explanation for some design choices (although some of that was interesting enough), and we basically got nothing new except ssf confirmation.
Imo diablo 4 gets choked by its own itemization, items are boring, there are very little exciting items, uniques mostly useless, same as mythiqs, they need to give some powrr back to items instead of tempering imo

@Wudijo If blizzard removed all rewards and progression from D3 greater rifts, do you think it would be as popular as it was/is now? I feel like the tower is just going to be dead content after initial release if we only get leaderboards and nothing else.

Even more torment difficulties? ‘Toughness’? They are turning this more and more into D3 with that stuff and I hate it.
I’ve been playing a lot of PoE and D2R again lately and I’m loving both.
SSF would be a gamechanger for me. I would like to compete with people on pushing pits or the new upcoming system. But against people who just swipe their credit card for full GA maxed gear there is no point. SSF would make me play more for sure.

Game is beyond cooked
I saw Raxx’s interview. I don’t understand why they don’t inject RNG surprises. If some Super elites (1 and hour) had 9 completely different melee attacks, 9 AOE, 9 ground effects, 9 Charge attacks, 9 buffs, 9 debuffs, 9 minion spawns, 9 minion effects, that’s 99,999,999 combinations. That’s 11,416 years non stop. Have 4 set slots and 9 sets per slot, like jewelry slot = 9,999 builds. 2 parts for pylons and 9 options per part = 99 pylons. 9,999 quests. Incrementally buff anything that’s unused. Content for decades.
Why add more torment levels when a lot of the player base don’t even reach t4 level….😢
Raxx missed the opportunity to address all the issues he listed in his “brokenhearted letter” vid. I don’t know why.
“Stay tuned” after 10 seasons and 3x different itemization …. They have no idea what they are doing. Spreadsheet game development.
“The new system has zero exciting outcomes” and that’s why I’ll be doing something else come season 11.
Would be cool if you could transfer SSF character to group play when you are done with SSF.
I don’t understand people who are still hang up on the Paladin lmao, why don’t people want new stuff, instead of always getting the same old stuff. At least i’m glad they don’t seem to be focusing on making Paladin the next class, i hope we get something fresh
We wanted a tiered system of master crafting & tempering, due to so many wasted hours of spent res & ruined/ bricked best items. Instead we get something we never asked for that also bricks/ ruins items but we lose a temper & 1/3 of dps gone. Especially for core builds.
