Yes, because of the poor gear design… most builds don’t really benefit from more than a single GA on SOME pieces of gear… Doesn’t mean a 4GA Starless isn’t an upgrade if you use Starless.

2-3 is still generally max benefit to your build.

On the top end, GAs matter a lot, especially on the mythics. That + your optimal masterworking crits are the only things that can push you further, after 300 paragon and lvl 100 glyphs…

Totally false. The passives Grand Affixes are absolutely important like for example the druid build. Literally double quick shift and envenom just gave hundred billions bcs the rotbringer already multiplied the bonus damage with poison. ATK speed is also a factor.

The most annoying part of the end game is literally trying to triple crit a stat.

Example, 12hydra heads when you been stuck at 10hydra for 500k obducites.

And it’s rng, I have a lot of triple crit masterworks like core skills on starless or cooldown on shako etc but sometimes blizzard knows how to piss you off.

Don’t even get me started on Veiled Crystals and Forgotten Souls.

Yeah ive noticed that too. The only things that matter are good tempers and triple hit on masterworking. Ive noticed this on my hydra sorc this season. Like there is a HUGE difference if you have 8,10 or 12 heads.
Idk why people are willing to pay Billions of gold for 3-4 Ga items or farm belial for hours to get an item with multiple GAs.

For sure how many ga isn’t as important as the bonus on item and which ga you get & masterwork well. I can do pit 100 on eternal with single ga ophidian iris at 98%.

most ppl look for multi GA because they dont understand the inner workings of a build. so they copy online builds. Case in point, 1 guy had 3GA pants for this hydra build but wants a 4GA, the only one missing is the chain lighting stat which is completely useless to increasing the hydra dmg. They don’t realise the pants only good for the resource % increase stat.

I noticed that 2-3GA’s are usually just bad, never got a 4 GA yet. I am stuck with 1GA or 2GA most of the time. Masterworking RNG has to be in your favor to push your build to its full potential

Multiple GA’s is mostly a prestige thing. Putting in the effort to triple crit masterwork a piece of gear on a single GA only to have a multiple GA drop is kind of painful too. There are some scenarios though where multiple GA’s can be important though,.notably when a gear stat is tied to a legendary aspect for example. On Hydra Sorc for example this season the Serpantine aspect increases damage the more mana you have when you cast Hydra. This ties max resource roll to a multiplier – in cases like this a GA can mean an extra 15x damage.

I have the Harlequin Crest that seems useful for all sorts of builds, but any recommendations specifically?

People are obsessed with gas. Get a ga on one important stat and get a max aspects. Druid, spiritborne, sorc have bugs that are pushing classes higher in the pit. I hope blizzard can fix tge bugs by the time leaderboards are implemented.

Most important gemeral aspect about GA is the extra masterworks, IMO.

And sometimes a higher GA might be worse than a lower GA one with better unique bonuses, like Tal Rashas or Iris. (I’m only a hydrasorc so far, joined D4 this season with PS )
