Marvel Rivals is dope

The game was on the list of best grossing Steam games of 2024, which means they should still be making lots of money. And yet they don’t put as much effort in the game as they used to. No legends of the outlands, no other animated shorts, no new weapons, new characters are being added more rarely, hyper expensive skins, recycled events… I really wonder what’s going on there.

I agree with most if not all the other commenters here, but the Horizon prestige doesn’t look too bad.

guys, I understand everyone is upset about the quality of the updates, but they’re obviously not going to overhaul the game mid season after doing some of the most drastic balance changes in apex history in split 1 with support legends. No matter what’s going on, they would’ve NEVER overhauled right now. So take that however you want to. I’m happy horizon is getting a cool skin. And some of the other skins genuinely look awesome, unlike the boring skins they’ve been putting out lately. It’s giving OG developer vibes. I’m excited!! We’re getting awesome balance changes as well.

Finally an actual mid season update that makes splits feel different and it seems like we‘re getting more experimental updates, problem is only that they fired all their play testers so ig they might destroy the game play every now and then like with the support class but at least it‘s something…

The new loba changes are INSANELY good! Nice job, team!

Things they probably didn’t do:
– Fix missing enemy audio.
– Upgrade tick rate of servers.
– Get rid of EOMM.
– Fix enemies surviving with 1HP when they should be dead.
– Get rid of those awful rift relic abilities.
– Revert the BP system.
– Have a legacy map in permanent rotation.
– Nerf the frustrating support meta.
– Add new things to spend legend tokens on.
– Add dive trails to prestige skins that don’t have them.

Game use to be fun…instead of skins how bout new modes, new guns, and maybe bring a team up ultimate

To this day I still don’t understand what the actual story of Apex is aside from it taking place over a decade after Titanfall 2.
Like wasn’t there a full scale war committed by a mega corporate conglomerate seizing resources from a sector in space where the inhabitants are all barely scrapping by to survive?
Also, wasn’t there an entire Revenant army that Rev had control of?
