Imagine if people just didn’t buy it at all they probably would drop the price to 50$ for the collection event

What they really should do is make MORE recolors of skins and heirlooms that are only purchasable with legend tokens so that they can give something back to the people that pay for the overpriced skins in this game. It wouldn’t take much effort, and it would add desirability to the paid originals.

I bought the recolor because I wanted the other skins, not the recolor. Usually in my friend group at least two of us buy collection events but this time around I was the only one.

I would love to see an 100 player battle royal LTM at some point. Or even a 90 player one. It would be pure chaos, and also maybe help to make some of the locations other than fragment bevisited.

Whoever thought it was a smart idea to spend $160 – $200 on Apex coins for all 24 prizes, just for that Peacekeeper skin, was being really stupid. Hey, it seems like EA actually listened to us that we are not going to hurt our wallets anymore for Apex coins. Are we still gonna get available recolors for skins that were originally crafted as original colors just for recolors?

The previous map designers created golden maps like skulltown and worlds edge… But then they left…. The new map designers did unfinished olympus which was baselined by the previous map designers, trash stormpoint and fukin worst broken moon ( I just turn off whenever broken moon comes around)
Also they killed skulltown by changing it too much….
And then changed half of worlds edge too… Making everyone drop fragment….

Next season is going to be BIG for Apex’s future as a whole. I’ve been really negative about it the past few seasons but it feels like they’ve finally gotten it together again. I said this in another comment, but I wanted to make it my own comment. I bought out the Celestial Collection Event because I liked all of the cosmetics. Even the purples. I had the money to do so, and I genuinely like all the items in the event. Was the PK Reactive recolor (Of which I OWN the original skins of) worth 160 dollars? No, it wasn’t, but it WAS a nice little bonus to all of the neat little red and green skins I got. I do NOT agree with having reactive recolors, something the community has wanted for a while now, be the reward for collection events. But, if they are sold like this one was (as in, a bundle containing two other legendary items) I would totally be willing to pay 30 or maybe 40 instead of 20.

Hot take, but I think this comment section is wrong with the “W respawn”. they aren’t actually listening to the community feedback just because theyre cancelling a purchase option because said purchase option wasn’t doing well. They only take OUR “feedback” when it effects THEM financially or if a pro player complains. Reactive skins would have way more success if they competed with Valorant weapon skin pricing. Val has really cool skins that animate, have special reload animations, and cool effects with materials, but they are 30-50$. More than the average 20$ per skin cost in some other games. Mythic weapons in Apex would have worked much better if they just sold them flat out in the event as a special item. Maybe even paired with thematic events so you’d have a choice of buying packs and getting 1 of 40 items that may or may not be good, or just buy the mythic skin straight out.

The thematic event and mythic skin wouldn’t be tied together, it would just be a way of serving F2P players while also giving some cool skins of ONLY the BEST weapons (301,CAR, Wingman, etc) on the side for highly invested players.

Can they collaborate with the mobile skins and a 3rd person TDM so we can see our skins.

I just don’t like the skins they make. I would buy even the recolors if there was a decent skin for every weapons. Unfortunately, i like few skins. I would spend a 100$ to have an R99 o R301(every gun) skin like the “Neutralizer”(aka freezing point, payback) style. The Neutralizer is a skin for the RE-45, such a cool skin.

The problem was the pricing and value of the overall collection event.

You got a weapon charm and holo spray with the skin and 4 of the 12 legendary items were some of the laziest emotes I’ve ever seen, especially when you compare them the the 4 epic ones in the same event.

I equipped the old reactive PK skin for the lols after the event came out. After tens and tens of hours of playing I came across someone who actually had the recolor PK skin. My first thought was, “well this person has to be content creator who got it for the videos.” But no, this dude legit paid for it. So his disbelief when he saw my S3 PK skin after he died was so sad.

He only played for a few seasons and since no one ever uses the S3 skin, he never knew it was a recolor. I felt bad but I couldn’t help but laugh. The bright side is I only saw one person who had it.
